''Kommunicator'' is the third studio album by Five Deez, an American hip-hop group. The album features a total of 11 tracks released on February 20, 2006, under Rapster Records in the US, Germany and Europe. In Japan, the album would be under Hostess Entertainment Unlimited. Reception Stewart Mason of ''AllMusic'' wrote saying the album has "a 2006 updating of hip-house, marrying contemporary trends in both underground hip-hop and post-glitch electronic dance music, but largely steering clear of the pitfalls of both." Five Deez
Five Deez is an American hip hop group from Cincinnati, Ohio and a part of the Wanna Battle collective, which also includes DJ Hi-Tek, Talib Kweli, Rubix, and Lone Catalysts. The group consists of members: Fat Jon the Ample Soul Physician (John Marshall), Pase Rock (Patrick Johnson), Kyle David (also known as Chilly Most), and Sonic (Corey Brown). Fat Jon currently resides in Frankfurt, Germany; while Pase Rock lives in New York, with Kyle and Sonic remaining in Cincinnati. Origins and collaborations The members of Five Deez originally met while attending Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH. Fat Jon, Sonic and Kyle David met in band class while Pase met Fat Jon during lunch after moving to the school at a later time. They chose the name "Five Deez" as simplification of the term "fifth dimension" of which they describe as "the realm where you experience music." Jon Marshall (born September 8, 1975), better known by his stage name Fat Jon the Ample Soul Physician, is an American hip hop producer and rapper from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a member of the American hip-hop group Five Deez. He is also one half of 3582 with J. Rawls, one half of Rebel Clique with vocalist Amleset Solomon, and one half of Beautiful Killing Machine with Sonic Brown of Five Deez. at Fat Jon is also credited as part of the production team that scored the music for the series '' |

Critical reception '' Spin'' wrote that "this brainy, brawny crew straddle urban tough, dirty smoove, and indie introspective.
