Kolonia
Kolonia is a coastal town and the capital of Pohnpei State in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). It was also the former FSM capital before being replaced by Palikir in 1989, located nearby to the southwest in the municipality of Sokehs. It has 6,074 people. Description Kolonia Town is located in the north central section of Pohnpei Island. It was formerly part of Nett municipality but has been a separate municipality since May 1965. The population of the town was 6,074 (2010 Census). It is the largest population center on Pohnpei and the commercial hub of the island. The land area of Kolonia amounts to 1.5 km², with a large number of buildings lying just outside the town limits. History Kolonia's history is deeply marked by Pohnpei's multiple foreign occupiers, and evidence of their former presence is found throughout the town and island. Kolonia, Szczytno County
Kolonia is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świętajno, within Szczytno County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies approximately east of Świętajno, east of Szczytno, and south-east of the regional capital Olsztyn. It is built as a linear settlement. History The village has existed since at least 1820. In 1861, it was extended to integrate the village Gorkí, today the southern part of the village. Bogumił Linka, a social activist and pioneer of agricultural education, was born in Gorkí in 1865. In the late nineteenth century, a train station was built. In 1916, a school was added to the village. In the East Prussian plebiscite of 1920, which was largely boycotted by ethnic Poles, the inhabitants voted to remain in Germany. In 1928, Groß Lontzig (Łąck Wielki) was integrated into Kolonia. Qalunya
Qalunya ( ar, قالونيا, also transliterated Qaluniya) was a Palestinian village located west of Jerusalem. Prior to the village's destruction in 1948, with the exception of 166 dunams, Qalunya's land was privately owned: 3,594 dunams were owned by Arabs, while 1,084 dunams were owned by Jews. Location Qalunya stood on a mountain slope, facing southwest; Wadi Qalunya passed through its eastern edge.
