Koll Rock
Koll Rock, also known as Blake Island is a large rock located southeast of Oom Island in the west side of Oom Bay, Mac. Robertson Land, Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition Lars is a common male name in Scandinavian countries. Oom Bay
Oom Bay is a well-defined bay, 2 mi wide, indenting the Mawson coast between Cape Bruce and Campbell Head. Discovered in February 1931 by the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE) under Douglas Mawson, who named it for Lieutenant K.E. Oom, RAN, cartographer with the expedition.
