Kolina Politicians
Kolina (an acronym of Corriente de Liberación Nacional; lit. "National Liberation Current") is a kirchnerist political party in Argentina founded in 2010 by Alicia Kirchner, sister of former president of Argentina, Néstor Kirchner. The party now forms part of the Frente de Todos, the ruling coalition supporting President Alberto Fernández. At the time of its foundation and until the alliance's dissolution, the party was a member of the Front for Victory. Following the 2019 general election, the party counts with representation in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies (the National Deputies Lisandro Bormioli, María Rosa Martínez and Paola Vessvessian belong to Kolina). Alicia Kirchner
Alicia Margarita Kirchner (born 18 July 1946) is an Argentine politician. She is the elder sister of the late former President Néstor Kirchner and served in his government as Minister of Social Development, a role which she held under President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, her sister-in-law, until the end of her presidential term on 9 December 2015. On 10 December 2015, she was sworn in as the governor of the Province of Santa Cruz. Biography Kirchner worked as a teacher and social worker, holding a PhD in social work. From 1975 to 1983 she served as a sub-secretary of social action in her native Santa Cruz Province. Néstor Carlos Kirchner (; 25 February 195027 October 2010) was an Argentine lawyer and politician who served as the President of Argentina from 2003 to 2007, Governor of Santa Cruz Province from 1991 to 2003, Secretary General of UNASUR and the first gentleman during the first tenure of his wife, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. 2011 Argentine General Election
Argentina held national presidential and legislative elections on Sunday, 23 October 2011. Incumbent president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner of the Front for Victory won via landslide, with 54.11% of votes against Hermes Binner of Broad Progressive Front, she also secured a second term in office after the Front for Victory won just over half of the seats in the National Congress. Mercosur Parliamentarians were also popularly elected for the first time. Another novelty was the introduction of open, simultaneous and mandatory primaries. Santa Cruz Province, Argentina
Santa Cruz Province ( es, Provincia de Santa Cruz, , 'Holy Cross') is a province of Argentina, located in the southern part of the country, in Patagonia. It borders Chubut Province to the north, and Chile to the west and south, with an Atlantic coast on its east. Santa Cruz is the second-largest province of the country (after Buenos Aires Province), and the least densely populated in mainland Argentina. Marcela Paola Vessvessian (born 19 March 1971) is an Argentine politician, currently serving as National Deputy elected in Santa Cruz. A member of Kolina, she was elected in 2019 as part of the Frente de Todos. Vessvessian previously served as Minister of Social Development of Santa Cruz during the first governorship of Alicia Kirchner (2015–2019). María Rosa Martínez (born 29 September 1955) is an Argentine trade unionist and politician, currently serving as member of the Buenos Aires Province Senate, elected in 2023. A member of Kolina, she was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2019 as part of the Frente de Todos. Martínez previously worked in a number of positions in the Ministry of Social Development during the administration of Alicia Kirchner (2007–2015), and as a city councillor in Almirante Brown.
