Koji Date
is a Japanese actor and singer. He played Ootori Chotarou in The Prince of Tennis movie and The Prince of Tennis musicals. His first CD, named 逆光, was released on 7 November 2007, and contained 9 songs, all written and produced by Koji. He also played guitar in a band called Joker. Their first single, 'No.1', was released on 7 December 2011. The Prince Of Tennis (film)
is a 2006 Japanese sports film based on the manga series of the same name by Takeshi Konomi. The film was directed by Yuichi Abe, written by Abe and Daisuke Habara and stars Kanata Hongo as Ryoma Echizen. It condenses the storyline from when Ryoma arrives in Japan to the match against Hyotei Academy. The film was released in Japan on May 13, 2006. Plot Twelve-year-old Ryoma Echizen is a tennis prodigy who has won four American Junior Tennis tournaments. , also known as for short, is a series of live action stage musicals directed by Yukio Ueshima based on the manga series ''The Prince of Tennis'' created by Takeshi Konomi and serialized by Shueisha in ''Weekly Shōnen Jump''. The first musical premièred in the Golden Week of 2003, and the unexpected popularity, especially among girls, and requests for merchandise of the show encouraged Marvelous Entertainment to follow through with the series. Each new show covers an arc of the manga storyline, though adaptations to the original story were made to fit the format. Female characters were removed, and irrelevant scenes or minor arcs were cut to move the plot forward.
