Kohta Kawaai
(born August 7, 1994) is a Japanese racing driver. He currently competes in Super GT GT300 for Saitama Toyopet GreenBrave. Racing career Early Racing Career In 2016, Kawaai started his formula racing career in F4 Japanese Championship racing with Le Beausset Motorsports. He raced in the same series till 2019 where he claimed 3rd in the standings behind Ren Sato, and Atsushi Miyake. Super GT - GT300 Kawaii moves up to Super GT - GT300 with Saitama Toyopet GreenBrave, paired up with Hiroki Yoshida. In his debut season, he managed to get a win and podiums which claimed him, and Yoshida to Second in the standings behind to Kondo Racing of Kiyoto Fujinami & João Paulo de Oliveira. Kawaai continue to race with the same team, claimed 9th in the standings and missed 1 race after he tested positive for COVID-19 where he replaced by Taku Bamba. in 2022, with the same team Kawaai managed to clinch a win at Autopolis with also another podium, and gets 4th in the standings. 2023 ... 2017 F4 Japanese Championship
The 2017 F4 Japanese Championship was the third season of the F4 Japanese Championship. It began on 7 April in Okayama and finished on 12 November on Twin Ring Motegi after seven double header rounds. Ritomo Miyata defended his drivers' title successfully, continuing with TOM'S Spirit. Toyota Supra (J29/DB)
The J29/DB Toyota Supra, mainly marketed as Toyota GR Supra, is the fifth-generation of the Supra, a sports car produced by Toyota since 2019. Sold under Gazoo Racing (GR) branding, it replaced the previous model, A80, which stopped production in 2002. The GR Supra was developed in collaboration with BMW and shares a platform with the G29 BMW Z4. Both cars are manufactured at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria. Okayama International Circuit (岡山国際サーキット), formerly known as TI Circuit Aida (TIサーキット英田) before 2005, is a private motorsport race track in Mimasaka, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. TI was the abbreviation of "Tanaka International" after the name of the golf club owner, Hajime Tanaka, though the name of the circuit was officially "TI Circuit Aida". Twin Ring Motegi
Mobility Resort Motegi (モビリティリゾートもてぎ) is a motorsport race track located at Motegi, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Originally named Twin Ring Motegi (ツインリンクもてぎ), the circuit's name came from the facility having two race tracks: a oval and a road course. It was built in 1997 by Honda Motor Co., Ltd., as part of the company's effort to bring the IndyCar Series to Japan, helping to increase their knowledge of American open-wheel racing. The oval was last raced on in 2010, and on 1 March 2022, the name of the track was changed to Mobility Resort Motegi, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the facility. Suzuka International Racing Course
The , more famously known as the , is a long motorsport race track located in Ino, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan and operated by Honda Mobilityland, a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co, Ltd. It has a capacity of 155,000. Introduction Soichiro Honda decided to develop a new permanent circuit in Mie prefecture in the late 1950s. Designed as a Honda test track in 1962 by Dutchman John "Hans" Hugenholtz, the most iconic feature of the track is its "figure eight" layout, with the long back straight passing over the front section by means of an overpass. Fuji Speedway
is a motorsport race track standing in the foothills of Mount Fuji, in Oyama, Suntō District, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It was built in the early 1960s. In the 1980s, Fuji Speedway was used for the FIA World Sportscar Championship and national racing. Originally managed by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Fuji Speedway was acquired by Toyota Motor Corporation in 2000. The circuit hosted the Formula One Japanese Grand Prix in 2007 after an absence of nearly 30 years, replacing the Suzuka Circuit owned by Honda. 2023 Super Taikyu Series
The 2023 Eneos Super Taikyu Series Supported by Bridgestone (previously the Eneos Super Taikyu Series Powered by Hankook) was the thirty-third season of the Super Taikyu Series endurance racing championship. The 2022 Super GT Series was a motor racing championship based in Japan for grand touring cars, sanctioned by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) and run by the GT Association (GTA). It was the thirtieth season of the JAF Super GT Championship which includes the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship era, and the eighteenth season under the Super GT name. It was also the fortieth overall season of a national JAF sportscar championship dating back to the All Japan Endurance/Sports Prototype Championship.
