Kohli
Kolhi ( sd, (Perso-Arabic), कोल्ही (Devanagari)) is a subgroup of Koli community native to Sindh, Pakistan. Kolhi's mostly are Hindu but some of them are Christian and Muslim. They engage in agriculture and most of them are poor peasants and sharecroppers. Kolhi community is said to hail from Gujarat. They migrated from there first to Kutch thence they came to Thar and Parkar. Kolhis have similar subcastes such as Thakor, Khant, Baria and Chunvalia. Krishna Kumari Kohli ( sd, ڪرشنا ڪماري ڪولھي ; born 1 February 1979), also known by the nickname Kishoo Bai, is a Pakistani politician who has been the member of the Senate of Pakistan since March 2018. She is the second Hindu woman to hold this position. She is known for her campaigns for women's rights and against bonded labour; and was named as one of the BBC's 100 most influential women in 2018. Early life and education Kolhi was born on 1 February 1979 to a poor Koli family hailing from a village in Nagarparkar. When she was a child and a student of grade three, she and her family were held captive for three years as bonded labourers in a private jail allegedly owned by a landlord in Umerkot District. They were only released after a police raid on their employer's land. She received her early education initially from Umerkot district and then from Mirpurkhas District. Rooplo Kolhi
Rooplo Shamtoji Kolhi (Sindhi: روپلو ڪولهي) was a Koli people, Koli List of Indian independence activists, freedom fighter, who fought against the British Raj, British Rulers in Karoonjhar Mountains at Nagarparkar Tehsil, Nagarparkar of List of districts in Sindh, District Tharparkar, Sindh. His birth name was Rupaji Gohil. The British hanged him on 22 August 1858 with his companions. His anniversary is celebrated on August 22 every year by a faction of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz. He was the last commander of rebels hanged by the British officials. Tharparkar (Dhatki/ sd, ٿرپارڪر, ur, ), also known as Thar, is a district in Sindh province in Pakistan headquartered at Mithi. Before Indian independence it was known as the Thar and Parkar district. The district is the largest in Sindh, and has the largest Hindu population in Pakistan. It has the lowest Human Development Index rating of all the districts in Sindh. Currently the Sindh government is planning to divide the Tharparkar district into Tharparkar and Chhachro district. Sindhis ( sd, سنڌي Perso-Arabic: सिन्धी Devanagari; ) are an Indo-Aryan ethnic group who speak the Sindhi language and are native to the province of Sindh in Pakistan. The Koli is an Indian caste found in Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, Odisha and Jammu and Kashmir states in India.
