Koh Seng Leong
Joseph Koh Seng Leong (born 19 September 1983) is a Singaporean former sailor, who specialized in the Laser and 470 classes. He represented Singapore across two editions of the Summer Olympic Games (2000 and 2008), finishing outside the top twenty-five each in two separate boats, respectively. Outside Olympic career, Koh collected a total of two medals in a continental regatta, spanning the 2006 Asian Games in Doha and the 2007 Southeast Asian Games in Nakhon Ratchasima. Koh trained throughout his sporting career at SAF Yachting Club in Changi, under the tutelage of his personal coach Brett Beyer, a six-time Laser Apprentice Master world champion from Australia. At the age of 16, Koh became the youngest sailor to compete in Sydney 2000. Maciej Grabowski (sailor)
Maciej Tadeusz Grabowski (born 2 March 1978 in Gdynia) is a Polish sailor, who specialized in the Laser class. He had an impressive track record of two career European titles, and finished only in the top 16 in three editions of the Olympic Games (2000, 2004, and 2008), representing his nation Poland. Throughout his sporting career, Grabowski trained for Hestia Sopot Sailing Club ( pl, Sopocki Klub Żeglarski Hestia) and then became a member of the Polish Sailing Association under head coach Tomasz Chamera. As of June 2015, Grabowski is ranked outside the top 200 for the Laser class by the International Sailing Federation. Terrigal, New South Wales
Terrigal is a coastal town in the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, located east of Gosford on the Pacific Ocean. It is part of the local government area. Sailing At The 2008 Summer Olympics – Laser
The Laser (dinghy), Laser was a sailing event on the Sailing at the 2008 Summer Olympics program in Qingdao International Sailing Centre. Eleven races (last one a medal race) were scheduled. Only ten races were completed including the medal race due to lack of wind. 43 sailors, on 43 boats, from 43 nations competed. Ten boats qualified for the medal race. Stanley Tan Kheng Siong (Tan Kheng Siong, born 4 November 1974 in Singapore) is a retired Singaporean sailor, who specialized in the Laser class, and was Singapore's third double-Olympic sailor. He represented his nation Singapore in two editions of the Olympic Games (2000 and 2004). Education Tan studied at Raffles Junior College and National University of Singapore. Sailing career During his junior college years, Tan started Laser Sailing and participated in the Inter School Championship and various races in Singapore. In 1993, Tan participated in the Laser Asian Pacific Championship in Auckland, New Zealand. Tan sailed for Singapore in the OK class at the 1995 Southeast Asian Games and won the silver medal.
