Koh-Lanta: Palau was the ninth season of the French version of Survivor. This season took place on the island of Palau within Micronesia, and was broadcast on TF1 from August 28, 2009, to October 30, 2009, airing on Fridays at 6:55 p.m. The two original tribes this season were Koror and Mawaï. Micronesia
Micronesia (, ) is a subregion of Oceania, consisting of about 2,000 small islands in the western Pacific Ocean. It has a close shared cultural history with three other island regions: the Philippines to the west, Polynesia to the east, and Melanesia to the south—as well as with the wider community of Austronesian peoples. The region has a tropical marine climate and is part of the Oceanian realm. ''Koh-Lanta'' is a French reality game show based on the popular international '' Survivor'' format. The series premiered on August 4, 2001. Houilles () is a Communes of France, commune in the Yvelines Departments of France, department in the Île-de-France Regions of France, region in north-central France.
