Wilhelm Kobelt
Wilhelm Kobelt (20 February 1840 – 26 March 1916) was a German zoologist born in Alsfeld, Grand Duchy of Hesse. He specialized in the field of malacology. Kobelt is remembered for his work as curator of the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt am Main. Several species of mollusk contain his name, including '' Fusinus kobelti'' (Kobelt's spindle), '' Cymatium kobelti'' and '' Hyalinia kobelti''. '' Kobeltia'', a subgenus of '' Arion'' slugs, is named in honor of him. Georg Ludwig Kobelt
Georg Ludwig Kobelt (March 12, 1804 in Kehl – May 18, 1857) was a German anatomist. He studied medicine at the University of Heidelberg, where he was a student of Friedrich Tiedemann (1781–1861). He received his medical doctorate in 1833, later working as a prosector at Heidelberg. From 1841 he was a prosector at the University of Freiburg, subsequently becoming an associate professor (1844), followed by a full professorship in anatomy a few years later (1847). Kobelt is remembered for his studies in sexual anatomy. In 1844, he published the influential ''Die männlichen und weiblichen Wollust-Organe des Menschen und einiger Säugetiere'' ("The Male and Female Organs of Sexual Arousal in Man and some other Mammals"). Karl Kobelt
Karl Kobelt (1 August 1891, in St. Gallen – 6 January 1968) was a Swiss politician and member of the Swiss Federal Council. He was elected to the Federal Council on 10 December 1940 and handed over office on 31 December 1954. He was affiliated to the Free Democratic Party. During his time in office he held the Military Department. On 2 December 1944 Kobelt contacted Brigadier General B. R.
