Kobe Hetherington
Kobe Hetherington (born 11 March 1999) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Brisbane Broncos in the NRL. Background Hetherington was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and was raised in Rockhampton, Queensland. His father Jason is a former Australian international and Queensland representative. He played his junior rugby league for the Rockhampton Brothers, Calliope Roosters and Gladstone Brothers. Hetherington attended The Cathedral College before being signed by the Brisbane Broncos. Playing career Early career In 2015, Hetherington played for the Central Queensland Capras in the Cyril Connell Cup before moving up to their Mal Meninga Cup side in 2016. NRL Under-20s
The NRL Under-20s (known commercially as the Holden Cup due to sponsorship from Holden) was the top league of professional rugby league for players aged 20 years or younger in Australasia. Contested by sixteen teams, the Under-20s competition commenced in 2008 and was originally known as the Toyota Cup. 2022 NRL Season
The 2022 NRL season is the 115th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 25th season run by the National Rugby League. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 16th consecutive year. This became the second longest stretch of time (after 1947-1966 - 20 seasons) of a continuous line-up of teams in competition history (overtaking 1967-1981 - 15 seasons). Pre-season Pre-season matches were played between 12 February and 28 February 2022, before a 10-day lead up until the beginning of the regular season. It featured nineteen matches across three weekends, including the 2022 All Stars match, which was won by the Māori All Stars 16 – 10, and the annual Charity Shield match between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and St George Illawarra Dragons, which the Dragons won 16–10. The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Cronulla, in the Sutherland Shire, Southern Sydney, New South Wales. Melbourne Storm
The Melbourne Storm are a rugby league club based in Melbourne, Victoria in Australia that participates in the National Rugby League. The first fully professional rugby league team based in the state, the Storm entered the competition in 1998. The Storm were originally a Super League initiative, created in 1997 during the Super League war, however, following the Super League collapse, the team became a part of the newly formed, united competition.
