Kobani Canton
Euphrates Region, formerly Kobanî Canton, ( ku, Herêma Firatê, ar, إقليم الفرات, syc, ܦܢܝܬܐ ܕܦܪܬ, translit=Ponyotho d'Prat) is the central of three original regions of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, comprising Ayn al-Arab District of the Aleppo Governorate, Tell Abyad District of the Raqqa Governorate, and the westernmost tip of the Ras al-Ayn Subdistrict of the Ras al-Ayn District of Al-Hasakah Governorate. Euphrates Region unilaterally declared autonomy in January 2014 and since ''de facto'' is under direct democratic government in line with the polyethnic Constitution of Rojava. Rojava
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), also known as Rojava, is a de facto autonomous region in northeastern Syria. It consists of self-governing Regions of North and East Syria, sub-regions in the areas of Afrin Region, Afrin, Jazira Region, Jazira, Euphrates Region, Euphrates, Raqqa, Al-Thawrah, Tabqa, Manbij and Deir ez-Zor Governorate, Deir Ez-Zor. Sarrin
Sarrin ( ar, صرين, also spelled Serrin or Sareen) is a town in northern Syria, administratively part of the Aleppo Governorate, located northeast of Aleppo. It is situated 3 kilometers east of the Euphrates River, south of Kobanî and east of Manbij. In the 2004 census, the town of Sarrin had a population of 6,140, while the Sarrin subdistrict had a total population of 70,522 mostly Arab. During the Syrian Civil War, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant seized control of the town in September 2013. In March 2015, Kurds from the People's Protection Units (YPG), alongside Free Syrian Army (FSA) rebels, launched an attack to take control of the strategic town. The Constitution of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, officially titled Charter of the Social Contract, is the provisional constitution of the self-proclaimed autonomous region known as the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.
