Koay Teng Hai
Koay Teng Hai (; born November 26, 1973) is a Malaysian politician. He was a one-term Penang State Legislative Assemblyman for Pulau Tikus from 2008 to 2013. He is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. Early education After graduating from Chung Ling High School in 1991, he started trading as a businessman in the industry of printing and advertising. Between the periods of 1992 to 1996, he had successfully finished his studies at The London Chamber of Commerce & Industry, obtaining an ABE Diploma and an ABE advanced Diploma. In the year 2000, he was awarded an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in an off-shore programme. 2004 Malaysian General Election
A general election was held on Sunday, 21 March 2004 for members of the 11th Parliament of Malaysia. Voting took place in all 219 parliamentary constituencies of Malaysia, each electing one Member of Parliament to the Dewan Rakyat, the dominant house of Parliament. 2008 Penang State Election
The 12th Penang election was held on 8 March 2008. Polling took place in 40 constituencies throughout the State of Penang, with each electing a State Assemblyman to the Penang State Legislative Assembly. The election was conducted by the Malaysian Election Commission. The legislative body had been dissolved on 13 February by the Governor of Penang, Abdul Rahman Abbas, on the advice of the incumbent Chief Minister, Koh Tsu Koon, who also led the state's ruling coalition at the time, Barisan Nasional (BN). Opposing the BN was the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) alliance, which consisted of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), the People's Justice Party (PKR) and the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS).
