Ashley Afamefuna Nwachukwu (born November 12, 1994), better known by his stage name Knucks, is a British rapper and record producer. Background Early life Knucks was born Ashley Afamefuna Nwachukwu on November 12, 1994, in London, and is of Nigerian Igbo descent. In the early 2000s, whilst living in inner-city London, Knucks became interested in grime music, and would perform 8-bar relays with friends during and after school. In year 8, Knucks went to a Nigerian boarding school, where his love of music developed further. When he returned to London at age 14, Knucks discovered Nas's ''Illmatic,'' and Curren$y's music, and transitioned from grime to rap. Kilburn is an area of north west London, England, which spans the boundary of three London Boroughs: London Borough of Camden, Camden to the east, City of Westminster, London Borough of Brent, Brent to the west. There is also an area in the City of Westminster, known as West Kilburn and sometimes treated as a distinct locality.
