Knightriders
''Knightriders'' is a 1981 American drama film written and directed by George A. Romero and starring Ed Harris, Gary Lahti, Tom Savini, Amy Ingersoll, Patricia Tallman, and Christine Forrest. It was filmed entirely on location in the Pittsburgh metro area, including Fawn Township and Natrona during the summer of 1980. The film represents a change of pace for Romero, known primarily for his horror films; it is a personal drama about a traveling renaissance fair troupe. Plot Billy leads a traveling troupe that jousts on motorcycles. "King William", as he styles himself, tries to lead the troupe according to his Arthurian ideals. However, the constant pressure of balancing those ideals against the modern day realities and financial pressures of running the organization are beginning to strain the group. Donald Rubinstein
Donald Rubinstein is a film composer, singer/songwriter, and multi-media artist who is best known for his collaborations with George A. Romero and Avant-garde jazz/rock collaborations with such musicians as Bill Frisell, Emil Richards and Wayne Horvitz. Education Rubinstein began music studies at Washington University after rejecting his initial studies with Pulitzer Prize winning poet Howard Nemerov. He taught himself the guitar and piano, transferred to the conservatory, and received a B.A. in music from Washington University in 1972. Rubinstein continued studies for two semesters at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He quit studies after finding the experience to be too constraining for his experimental ideas. Thomas Vincent Savini (born November 3, 1946) is an American prosthetic makeup artist, actor, stunt performer and film director. He is known for his makeup and special effects work on many films directed by George A. John Amplas
John Amplas (born June 23, 1949) is an American actor known primarily for his work with director George A. Romero, particularly his appearances in the title role of ''Martin'' (1978), as well as '' Dawn of the Dead'' (1978) and ''Creepshow'' (1982). Biography Amplas's first film with George A. Scott Hale Reiniger, ''Harlan Sahib Bahadur'', Prince of Ghor (born September 5, 1948) is an American actor. He is best known as one of the stars of the 1978 classic horror film '' Dawn of the Dead''. Biography Scott Hale Reiniger, Jr. was born in White Plains, New York. He is a graduate of Rollins College in Theater Arts. Following his appearance as Roger in George A. Romero's original ''Dawn of the Dead'' in 1978, Reiniger played Marhalt in Romero's 1981 film ''Knightriders''. Warner Shook is an American director and actor. Biography Raised in Alabama, Shook's father was a mining magnate that left Shook and his sister each a small fortune. Shook had a brief career as an actor appearing in George A. Romero's '' Dawn of the Dead'', ''Knightriders'' and ''Creepshow''. Turning to directing, Shook worked at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, and the Mark Taper Forum in L.A.
