Klips ve Onlar was a Turkish band of the 1980s. They represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 with the song ''Halley'' which reached 9th position, the highest ever for the country until then. The group members who won the national final were Sevingül Bahadır, Gür Akad, Emre Tukur, Derya Bozkurt and Seden Kutlubay. However Kutlubay refused to go to Eurovision (rumours said that she had important exams in the week of the finals, and that her boyfriend didn't want her to go), therefore she was replaced by Candan Erçetin Candan Erçetin (; born 10 February 1961) is a Turkish people, Turkish singer-songwriter. Eurovision Song Contest 1986
The Eurovision Song Contest 1986 was the 31st edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It was held in Bergen, Norway, following the country's victory at the with the song "La det swinge" by Bobbysocks! Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK), the contest was held at Grieghallen on 3 May 1986 and was hosted by previous Norwegian contestant Ã…se Kleveland. Candan Erçetin (; born 10 February 1961) is a Turkish people, Turkish singer-songwriter. Over the twenty five years of her singing career, she has been recognized for preparing and singing songs about human life. Despite the fact that she made her albums without much publicity, her work influenced other artists. Erçetin has released many music videos with different themes. Because her family originate from the Balkans, she has often used elements of Balkan music in her songs and works. In addition to Turkish, she has written songs in French and Greek. Turkey took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 1985. The country was represented by a music trio named Mazhar Fuat Özkan (names of the members) with the song "Didai didai dai" written by Mazhar Alanson (Mazhar) and composed by the trio. Seyyal Taner (born September 28, 1952) is a Turkish singer and actress. Early life and career beginnings Taner was born in Şanlıurfa, Turkey and later moved to Istanbul with her family. She graduated from the Amerikan Kız Lisesi. She received vocal training from Şerif Yüzbaşıoğlu in 1965 and started to sing as an amateur with the Kanat Gür Orkestrası. In 1968 Los Bravos played in Istanbul and, having caught her act, offered Taner a role in a Spanish musical. Whilst promoting in Spain, she attracted the attention of Paramount Pictures and was offered a small part in ''Villa Rides''. On returning to Turkey, Taner continued her acting career until she left for Germany and marriage to Peter Harold, Los Bravos's guitarist.
