Karl Klingler
Karl Klingler (7 December 1879 – 18 March 1971) was a German violinist, concertmaster, composer, music teacher and lecturer. Life Early years Karl Klingler was born in Strasbourg, at that time in Germany, the fifth of his parents' six recorded children. His father, Theodor Klingler (1845–1905), was a professional viola player who taught at the conservatory. When he was still very young Klingler was receiving violin lessons from his father, and then from his father's colleague at the conservatory, Heinrich Schuster. Klingler began giving concerts at five years of age. In 1897, when he concluded his schooling in Strasbourg, he relocated to Berlin where he was a student at the city's University of the Arts (''"Universität der Künste Berlin"'' / UdK) where, now aged 17, he studied the violin with Joseph Joachim, an inspiring teacher and, very soon, a close personal friend. Baylee Klingler (born September 20, 1999) is an American professional softball player for the Texas Smoke of the Women's Professional Fastpitch. She played college softball at Washington. As a senior in 2022, she won the Pac-12 Conference Triple Crown. High school career Klingler attended Dickinson High School in Dickinson, Texas. During her career she posted a .569 batting average and .638 OBP with 31 home runs, 18 triples, 41 doubles and 144 RBI. She was a four-time First-Team All District and four-time First-Team All Galveston County honoree. During her junior and senior year, she was a member of the All-State team. She was also named an Under Armor All-American, MaxPreps All-American and FloSoftball All-American. Jimmy Klingler (born February 17, 1972) is a former American football quarterback who played one season with the Birmingham Barracudas of the Canadian Football League. He played college football at the University of Houston and attended Stratford High School in Houston, Texas. He was also a member of the Texas Terror of the Arena Football League. College career Klingler played for the Houston Cougars from 1991 to 1993. He led NCAA Division I-A in total offense with 3,768 yards in 1992. David Klingler
David Ryan Klingler (born February 17, 1969) is an associate professor of Bible exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary and a former American football quarterback. College career A 6-foot, 2-inch quarterback, Klingler rewrote numerous college passing records for the Houston Cougars from 1988 to 1991. On November 17, 1990, Klingler threw for an all-Divisions record 11 touchdown passes for a single quarterback against Eastern Washington University at the Astrodome, and on December 2 set the NCAA (Division I) record for most yards gained in a single game, 716 (since surpassed by Connor Halliday in 2014 and later Patrick Mahomes in 2016). In his four seasons at Houston, he completed 726 of 1,262 passes for 9,430 yards and 91 touchdowns, all of which were school records at the time. Gwenn Klingler (born May 28, 1944) is a former Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives representing the 100th district from 1995 until 2003. Gwenn Klingler was born on May 28, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio. She earned a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University and a J.D. from George Washington University School of Law. She also earned an M.A. from the University of Michigan. Klingler, then a member of the Springfield City Council, was initially slated to face Democratic incumbent Michael D. Curran.
