	Kleberg County, Texas Kleberg County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 31,040. The county seat is Kingsville. The county was organized in 1913 and is named for Robert J. Kleberg, an early settler. Kleberg County is part of the Kingsville, TX Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also part of the Corpus Christi- Kingsville- Alice, TX Combined Statistical Area. Most of the county's land lies in the famed King Ranch, which also extends into neighboring counties. History The county was organized in 1913 and was named for Robert J. Kleberg, an early settler (see below). In 1997, the county commissioners officially designated "heaven-o" as the county's greeting. The stated reason was that "hello" contains the word "hell". 	Kleberg, Dallas, Texas Kleberg ( ) is an area in southeastern Dallas, Texas, United States that was formerly an unincorporated community in Dallas County. History In 1956 Kleberg incorporated as a city. By 1970 4,510 people lived in Kleberg and three businesses resided in Kleberg. By 1978 Kleberg was the largest town in Texas with no property tax. On April 3, 1978 the city ceased to exist and the land became part of the City of Dallas. Government and infrastructure Fire Station 9 of the Dallas Fire Department, serving Kleberg, opened on April 1, 1978. Before then the building served as the Kleberg City Hall, the Kleberg Police Department station, and the Kleberg Volunteer Fire Department station. In 1989 the fire station moved into a new building. The United States Postal Service operates what was once the Kleberg Post Office at 15300 Seagoville Road. It has been renamed the Seagoville Post Office as of April 8, 2011. 	Louis Kleberg Louis Kleberg (May 1, 1802– July 1, 1847) was a German Texan soldier in the Texas Revolution and a member of the frontier forces. Biography Kleberg was born in Herstelle, Westphalia. In 1834, with the Roeder party, he immigrated to Texas. Kleberg was the older brother of Robert J. Kleberg. He fought at the Siege of Bexar in Captain Thomas F. L. Parrott's company. In 1839 he served in Captain John Bird's company, defending against the Native Americans. Kleberg is buried in a small cemetery on private property. 	Rudolph Kleberg Rudolph Kleberg (June 26, 1847 – December 28, 1924) was a U.S. Representative from Texas, great uncle of Robert C. Eckhardt and uncle of Richard M. Kleberg, Sr. Early life and education Born in Cat Spring, Texas, Kleberg was instructed by private tutors and graduated from Concrete College, De Witt County, in 1868. He enlisted in Tom Green's brigade of Cavalry in the Confederate States Army in the spring of 1864 and served until the close of the Civil War. After the war, Kleberg studied law in San Antonio. He was admitted to the bar in 1872. Career Kleberg commenced practice in Cuero, Texas. The next year, he founded the ''Cuero Star'' in 1873. After a few years of practice, Kleberg was appointed as prosecuting attorney of De Witt County 1876-1890. Entering electoral politics, he served as a member of the State senate 1882-1886.
