Klea Blackhurst
Klea Blackhurst is an American actress. She is best known for ''Everything the Traffic Will Allow'', her tribute to Ethel Merman that debuted in New York in 2001. Among many accolades, this production earned her the inaugural Special Achievement Award from ''Time Out New York'' magazine. The recording of ''Everything the Traffic Will Allow'' was named one of the top ten show albums of 2002 by Talkin' Broadway.com. Klea next turned her passion for musical-theatre history toward the Broadway career of composer Vernon Duke and debuted Autumn in New York: Vernon Duke’s Broadway at New York’s Café Carlyle which subsequently played a sold-out engagement at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater. Billy Stritch (born February 12, 1962, in Houston, Texas) is an American composer, arranger, vocalist, and jazz pianist. For many years, he was best known as a "confidant", music director, and piano player for Liza Minnelli. Early life and career Stritch was born on February 12, 1962, in Houston, Texas, and raised in Sugar Land, Texas. At the age of 8 or 9, he heard big band music for the first time, and went to the large suburban John Foster Dulles High School (Class of 1979) of Sugar Land, TX that had a "great" music education program, in which he played in the "jazz band". He played in a jazz vocal trio while at college that played jazz festivals for nine years. The trio broke up and Stritch moved to New York City. The Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC) is one of four professional theatre companies in Utah, and the only fully professional theatre in Salt Lake City, contracting with union members belonging to Actors' Equity Association (AEA), Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) and United Scenic Artists (USA829).
