Klaus Wanger
Klaus Wanger (born 24 February 1941) was Speaker of the Landtag of Liechtenstein (the national Parliament) from January 2001 to February 2009. He represented the Schaan electoral district and is a member of the Progressive Citizens' Party. He was first elected to Liechtenstein's Parliament in 1993, having previously pursued a business career. Landtag Of Liechtenstein
The Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein (german: Landtag des Fürstentums Liechtenstein), commonly referred to as the Landtag of Liechtenstein (german: Liechtensteinischer Landtag), is the unicameral parliament of Liechtenstein. Qualifications Citizens who have attained the age of 18, have permanent residency in the country and have lived in the country for at least one month before the election can vote, and all eligible voters can run for office. A group of at least 30 voters per constituency has the right to nominate a list of candidates. However, voters can only sign support for nomination for a single list. Women in Liechtenstein were granted the right to vote in 1984, and thus could not stand for election in the Landtag before then. Schaan () is the largest municipality of Liechtenstein by population. It is located to the north of Vaduz, the capital, in the central part of the country. it has a population of 6,039 making it the most populous administrative district in Liechtenstein. Representing an important traffic hub and industrial location of the country, Schaan covers an area of , including mountains and forest. The Progressive Citizens' Party in Liechtenstein (german: Fortschrittliche Bürgerpartei in Liechtenstein, FBP) is a national-conservative political party in Liechtenstein. The FBP is one of the two major political parties in Liechtenstein, along with the liberal-conservative Patriotic Union.
