Klaus Hinrich Stahmer
Klaus Hinrich Stahmer (born 25 June 1941) is a German composer and musicologist. He gave added to the development of music in the 1980s through multimedia works, including music with sound art sculptures and ). He also broke new artistic ground with his compositions for non-European instruments, which can be classified as world music. Life Stahmer was born in Stettin. In 1945, the family fled to the West to escape the Russian military. During his school years in Lüneburg from 1947 to 1960, he received instrumental lessons in cello and piano and participated as a choral singer in oratorio and choral concerts. WERGO
WERGO is a German record label focusing on contemporary classical music. It was founded in 1962 by German art historian and music publisher (1903–1975) and the musicologist Helmut Kirchmeyer. Their first release, filed under "WER 60001", was Schoenberg's ''Pierrot lunaire'', conducted by Pierre Boulez. The record company is owned by Schott Music, both based in Mainz, Germany. A great number of contemporary composers have been recorded by the label. Siegfried Fink (born 8 February 1928 in Zerbst/Germany, died 3 May 2006 in Würzburg/Germany) was a German percussionist, composer and professor. He is recognized as an important figure in the development of the professional percussion scene in Germany after World War II. Life From 1948 to 1951, Fink studied timpanis and percussion in the class of Alfred Wagner at the University of Music in Weimar (Germany). He also studied composition in the class of Helmut Riethmüller at the same institution. After several orchestral and teaching positions in Weimar, Magdeburg, Lübeck and Hannover, he attained a permanent teaching position for timpanis and percussion at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg. Klaus Ager
Klaus Ager (born 10 May 1946) is an Austrian composer and conductor. Born in Salzburg, Ager studied piano, composition, and conducting at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and musicology at University of Salzburg, Salzburg University. He continued his studies in composition with Pierre Schaeffer and Olivier Messiaen at the Conservatoire de Paris, Paris Conservatoire. From 1975 to 1986 he directed the Österreichische Ensemble für Neue Musik (Austrian Ensemble for New Music). Anestis Logothetis (27 October 1921 – 6 January 1994) was a Greek Avant-garde music, avant-garde composer, noted both for his musical works and his invention of his own graphic musical notation, notation system. Biography Logothetis was born in Burgas, Bulgaria, of Greek parents, and moved with his family to Thessaloniki in 1934. Peter Vogel (9 March 1937 – 8 May 2017) was a German artist, best known for his interactive electronic sculptures and sound art pieces. Life Interaction was the artist's central intention, the viewer becomes a participant, a player who can influence the work through his impulses. Vogel was thus an exponent of a generation of artists who placed the viewer's participation at the center of their work. Even in the context of constructive-concrete and kinetic art, the goal is to combine art and life in order to provide the recipient with an active and sensual-aesthetic experience that goes beyond just looking at the picture. The Kulturforum ( en, Cultural Forum) is a collection of cultural buildings in Berlin. It was built up in the 1950s and 1960s at the edge of West Berlin, after most of the once unified city's cultural assets had been lost behind the Berlin Wall. Museum Im Kulturspeicher Würzburg
The Museum im Kulturspeicher Würzburg is a municipal art museum located at Veitshöchheimer Strasse 5, Würzburg, Northern Bavaria, Germany. It is open daily except Monday; an admission fee is charged. The museum opened in 2002 within a converted river-side warehouse that provides 3,500 m² of exhibit space in 12 rooms. It contains two distinct collections: the municipal art collection, founded in 1941 as the Städtische Gallerie and originally located in Hofstraße; and the Peter C. Dieter Schnebel
Dieter Schnebel (14 March 1930 – 20 May 2018) was a German composer, theologian and musicologist. He composed orchestral music, chamber music, vocal music and stage works. From 1976 until his retirement in 1995, Schnebel served as professor of experimental music at the Hochschule der Künste, Berlin. Career Schnebel was born in Lahr/Baden. He began general private music studies with Wilhelm Siebler from 1942 until 1945, when he started piano lessons with Wilhelm Resch, and continued study with him until 1949 at the age of 19. Earle Brown
Earle Brown (December 26, 1926 – July 2, 2002) was an American composer who established his own formal and notational systems. Brown was the creator of "open form," a style of musical construction that has influenced many composers since—notably the downtown New York scene of the 1980s (see John Zorn) and generations of younger composers.
