Klaidi Cela (born July 16, 1999) is a Canadian soccer player who plays for Vaughan Azzurri in League1 Ontario. Club career Early career Cela began his career at the age of eight when playing for Mississauga Falcons SC. In October 2012, he joined the Toronto FC Academy. Toronto FC II On May 1, 2015, Cela signed with Toronto FC II, alongside Gabriel Boakye, Malik Johnson and Brogan Engbers. He made a single appearance for the affiliate club during the 2015 USL season. Cela made his professional debut on the final day of the season, playing for 29 minutes in a 2–0 defeat to Rochester Rhinos. He also appeared for Toronto FC III in both League1 Ontario and the Premier Development League. 2015 USL Season
The 2015 USL season was the fifth season of the United Soccer League (USL) and the first under its new name (previously the league was called USL Pro). This season represented a substantial expansion from 14 teams in 2014 to 24 teams in 2015, and the division of the league into two conferences. It is also the 29th season of third-division soccer in the United States. Seven Major League Soccer clubs created reserve franchises in the USL for the 2015 season, following the lead of the LA Galaxy, who had done so in 2014: FC Montreal, New York Red Bulls II, Portland Timbers 2, Real Monarchs, Seattle Sounders FC 2, Toronto FC II, and Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. 2021 Canadian Premier League Season
The 2021 Canadian Premier League season was the third season of the Canadian Premier League, the top level of Canadian soccer. Forge FC were defending champions, after defeating HFX Wanderers FC in the 2020 final. The season was planned to commence on May 22, the Victoria Day weekend, pending the approval of government authorities and the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. However, on May 14, it was announced that the start was to be pushed back to mid-June or early July. On June 5, the league committed to a full 28-match season, but that the season would begin in a single-site bubble at IG Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba, promoted as "The Kickoff", with each team playing eight matches between June 26 and July 24.
