Kjersti Alveberg
Kjersti Alveberg (26 July 1948 – 19 October 2021) was a Norwegian choreographer and dancer. Over the last 30 years of her career she created ballets for stage and television and won prestigious awards for her work. Early life Kjersti Alveberg began to dance at the age of four, but not until she was 19 she took the decisive step of starting her dance studies at Norwegian National Academy of Ballet in Oslo, working at the same time at Chat Noir as a dancer. Aiming at sociology she went on to study dance in New York City, Amsterdam, London and Paris before attending the Nansen Academy. For several years she was a freelance dancer at the Oslo theatres, in fringe groups and in television. For 5 years she was a dancer, actor and singer at Det Norske Teatret doing musicals and plays, also working in TV and in fringe dance companies. Kjersti Stubø
Kjersti Aasan Stubø (born 25 April 1970) is a Norwegian Jazz musician vocalist, daughter and musical successor of Jazz guitarist Thorgeir Stubø (1943–1986), mother of elektronica musician Mathias Stubø (b. 1992), and sister of Jazz guitarist Håvard and theatre director Eirik Stubø. Career Stubø was born in Narvik, and studied jazz on the Jazz program at the Trondheim Music Conservatory (1991–93). Aged 14 she performed with her father, Thorgeir, who died from cancer two years later. During her studies in Trondheim she established her own Jazz orchestra ''Kjersti Stubø Band'' in 1991. Co-musicians on this project were Vigleik Storaas (piano), Tore Brunborg (saxophones), Odd Magne Gridseth (bass) and Ernst-Wiggo Sandbakk (drums). Kjersti Løken Stavrum (born 1 March 1969) is a Norwegian journalist and editor. Since April 2013, she has been Secretary General of the Norwegian Press Association. Born in Sarpsborg in south-eastern Norway, Stavrum is a graduate in political science. She began her career with the Norwegian newspaper ''Aftenposten'' in 1994. In 2001, she became editor in chief for the weekly women's magazine ''Kvinner og Klær''. She returned to ''Aftenposten'' in 2005 as feature editor for the paper's revamped weekly magazine ''A-magasinet'', where she remained until 2012. Thereafter, for a short period she was head of the communications department of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO). In April 2013, she was appointed Secretary General of the Norwegian Press Association, replacing Per Edgar Kokkvold who had occupied the post since 1996. Kjersti Døvigen (27 June 1943 – 26 January 2021) was a Norwegian actress. She was known, among other things, for her role in the popular Norwegian TV-drama ''Offshore''. At the age of seven, Kjersti started dancing, her career began as a ballet dancer. She worked in this area at the Norwegian Opera for eight years before her breakthrough in 1967 in Claudine's role in CanCan. Kjersti Annesdatter Skomsvold (born 3 December 1979 in Oslo) is a Norwegian author who made her literary debut in 2009 with the novel ''Jo fortere jeg går, jo mindre er jeg'' (''The Faster I Walk, the Smaller I Am''). The book won the Tarjei Vesaas' Debutant Prize (judged by The Literary Council of The Norwegian Authors´ Union), and it was shortlisted for the International Dublin Literary Award 2013. Skomsvold has dramatized the novel and the play premieres at the National Theatre (Oslo) in 2014. She has since written a poetry collection and several novels. Kjersti Holmen (8 February 1956 – 26 September 2021) was a Norwegian actress. She was born on Nøtterøy, and later moved to Alnabru, where she grew up with her parents and two sisters. She graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in 1980, and was employed at the National Theatre since 1981 – permanently since 1992. There she had roles such as "Eliza Doolittle" in George Bernard Shaw's ''Pygmalion'', the title role in Henrik Ibsen's ''Hedda Gabler'' and "Blanche" in Tennessee Williams' ''A Streetcar Named Desire''. Kjersti Østgaard Buaas (born 5 January 1982) is a Norwegian snowboarder from Trondheim. She placed 4th in women's half-pipe at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, United States. Kjersti Tysse Plätzer (born Tysse; 18 January 1972) is a Norwegian race walker, who won the silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, in the 20 kilometres race. Kjersti Engan (born 1971) is a Norwegian researcher in signal processing, signal and image processing who works as a professor of electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Stavanger. Engan was born in 1971 in Bergen. She earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1994 from Bergen University College. She then moved to the University of Stavanger for graduate study, completing her doctorate in 2000. At Stavanger, she was promoted to full professor in 2008.
