Kjell Jennstig
Kjell Jennstig (born February 17, 1960) is a Swedish musician and composer/songwriter. As a musician he is mostly known as guitarist in Swedish motorcycle group, Kenneth & the Knutters. As a composer/songwriter, he has written for a number of Swedish performers, including Carina Jaarnek, Caracola, Grönwalls, Blender and Caroline Wennergren. Jennstig has participated three times in the Latvian Eurovision Song Contest preselection competition, ''Eirodziesma'': * In 2007, his song "Questa Notte", written together with Torbjörn Wassenius and Fransesca Russo and performed by Bonaparti.lv, won the competition. The song was then in the Eurovision Song Contest final in Helsinki where it ended 16th. * In 2008, his song "You really got me going" ended second. Carina Jaarnek
Carina Jaarnek (full name Eva Carina Kvistborg Jaarnek; 26 December 196217 January 2016; birth name Kina Jaarnek), was a Swedish singer. During her career she performed in a number of dansbands, and she participated in Melodifestivalen twice. Career During the 1970s, Jaarnek was part of the dansband Frösöflickorna, and during the 1980s in the dansbands Bosse Påhlssons orkester (orchestra) and Alfstarz. After this, she started her own band called Carina Jaarneks orkester. Jaarnek has been referred to as "The dansband queen of Sweden". Jaarnek's first appearance on the ''Svensktoppen'' charts came in 1986 with the song "Natten tänder ljus på himlen". She performed the song "Det är aldrig försent" at Melodifestivalen 1994 with her younger brother Mikael Jaarnek, and she participated in Melodifestivalen 2002 with the song "Son of a Liar", which made it to the second chance round. Latvia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Questa notte" written by Kjell Jennstig, Torbjörn Wassenius and Francesca Russo. The song was performed by the group Bonaparti.lv. The Latvian broadcaster Latvijas Televīzija (LTV) organised the national final ''Eirodziesma 2007'' in order to select the Latvian entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. Twenty songs were selected to compete in the national final, which consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. In the semi-finals on 27 January and 3 February 2007, five entries were selected to advance from each show: three entries selected based on a public televote and two entries selected by a seven-member jury panel.
