Kiến Giang River
The Kiến Giang River ( vi, Sông Kiến Giang) is a river in Lệ Thủy District, Quảng Bình Province, North Central Coast, Vietnam. The length of the river is 58 km. It is a tributary of the Nhật Lệ River. The Kiến Giang River originates in the Annamite Range (Truong Son Range) where various streams add water to it. The upper part of this river is sloping, therefore rain water from Annamite Range flows violently to the lower part in rainy seasons (in autumn), causing floods in it basin. Thanks to An Ma Dam, this situation has been stopped. Unlike other rivers in Vietnam which flow southeast, the Kiến Giang River flows northeast, and creates a narrow delta in Lệ Thủy District. Like all of the rivers in Central Vietnam, this river water is clear, which means that it carries little alluvium. North Central Coast
Bắc Trung Bộ (literally North Central Region, and often translated as North Central Coast) is one of the regions of Vietnam. It consists of six provinces: Thanh Hóa, Nghệ An, Hà Tĩnh, Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị, Thừa Thiên–Huế. The last two provinces were the northernmost provinces of South Vietnam until 1976. Nhật Lệ River
The Nhật Lệ River is a river in Đồng Hới city, Quảng Bình Province, Vietnam. The Nhật Lệ River is 152 km long, of which the Kiến Giang River is 58 km in length, and the Long Đại River is 77 km long. The river is formed by the confluence of the Kiến Giang River in Lệ Thủy District and the Long Đại River in Quảng Ninh District. Annamite Range
The Annamite Range or the Annamese Mountains (french: Chaîne annamitique; lo, ພູ ຫລວງ ''Phou Luang''; vi, Dãy (núi) Trường Sơn) is a major mountain range of eastern Indochina, extending approximately through Laos, Vietnam, and a small area in northeast Cambodia. The mountain range is also referred to variously as Annamese Range, Annamese Mountains, Annamese Cordillera, Annamite Mountains and Annamite Cordillera. The name "Annam" is the Vietnamese pronunciation and terminology of zh, c=安南 (Pinyin: ''Ān Nán''), meaning "to pacify the south" referring to Vietnam. The Long Đại River ( vi, Sông Long Đại) is a river in Quảng Ninh District of Quảng Bình Province, North Central Coast region of Vietnam.
