Yannick Bestaven (born 28 December 1972 in Saint-Nazaire in the Loire-Atlantique region) is a French offshore sailor. He won the Transat 6.50 in 2001, was twice winner of the Transat Jacques-Vabre, and won the Vendee Globe in 2020-21. Thomas Ruyant (born 24 May 1981) is a French sailor who was born in Dunkirk in the Nord region. He is an offshore sailor and competed in the 2020–2021 Vendée Globe IMOCA 60 onboard LinkedOut, named after a French employment charity. Bernard Gallay (born 7 November 1959) is a French yachtsman and businessman. He has competed in the Vendée Globe twice ( 1992/93 and 2000/01) and finished his career as a professional sailor whilst participating in the Transat 6.50 in 2005. Jean Le Cam (born 27 April 1959 in Quimper, Finistère) is a French sailor. In 1981–82, he was a crewmember on Euromarché in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race. Le Cam was crewman with Éric Tabarly and Michel Desjoyeaux, and won the ''Solitaire du Figaro'' in 1994, 1996, and 1999. He later took an interest in multihull ships. He finished second in the Vendée Globe 2004-2005, arriving just a few hours after the winner Vincent Riou. On 6 January 2009, whilst competing in the 2008-2009 edition of the Vendée Globe, he went missing 200 miles from Cape Horn. Vincent Riou, the then the skipper of PRB, rescued Jean Le Cam from his upturned IMOCA 60. Le Cam was trapped inside his upturned yacht for 16 hours during which time it was not known for certain if he was safe inside his boat or not.
