Kitchenware Records was an independent record label based in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, UK. It was founded in 1982 by Keith Armstrong, Paul Ludford and Phil Mitchell, and was originally part of The Soul Kitchen, an artist collective and nightclub. 1980s signings One of the label's early signings were Martin Stephenson and the Daintees, whose single "Roll on Summertime" was voted as ‘single of the week’ in Sounds. In the mid 1980s, Kitchenware arranged a deal with Roger Ames' London Recordings, London Records (at the time a semi-independent unit within the PolyGram group) for the group, who licensed them along with soulful pop trio Kane Gang, The Kane Gang (both of whom appeared on the label's various artists collection ''Giant - 14 Brand New Tracks From London Artists'' in 1987). ''In This Light and on This Evening'' is the third studio album by English rock band Editors. It was released on 12 October 2009 by Kitchenware Records. The band had said the material would have a more raw and anthemic sound compared to their previous work. The first single from the album was " Papillon". The second single was " You Don't Know Love", released on 25 January of the following year. The third single, " Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool", was released on 24 May. The album also features a bonus extended play of five songs, called ''Cuttings II''. With lead guitarist Chris Urbanowicz's departure from Editors on 16 April 2012, this was the band's last album to feature Urbanowicz. Karima Francis (born Karima Antoinette Francis Cunliffe, 28 April 1987 in Blackpool, England) is an English singer-songwriter. Karima was named by ''The Observer'' the number one act to watch in 2009. After performing at In The City in Manchester and SXSW in Austin she was signed by the independent record label Kitchenware Records/ Columbia Records. She signed with Vertigo Records, a division of Mercury Music Group, in 2011. The Changes (band)
The Changes is a Chicago rock band formed in March 2002. Their music has been described as filtering in the new wave end of rock, with its dreamy jangle and jazzy rhythms. The band's members are Darren Spitzer (vocals/guitar/keys), Rob Kallick (bass guitar/keys), David Rothblatt (lead guitar/keys/vocals) and Jonny Basofin (drums and bells/keys). Sirens are British girl group from Newcastle upon Tyne, best known for their UK top 50 single, "Baby (Off the Wall)". History The Sirens line-up originally consisted of Karina Brians, Kat Haslam, Lynsey Schofield and Michelle Heaton. Cathal Coughlan (16 December 1960 – 18 May 2022) was an Irish singer and songwriter from Cork, best known as the frontman of the band Microdisney, formed with Sean O'Hagan in 1980. Their second album ''The Clock Comes Down the Stairs'' reached number one in the UK Indie Chart. They developed cult followings in the Irish and UK indie music scenes before breaking up in 1988. Coughlan went on to lead the harder-edged The Fatima Mansions, who found critical success with their aggressive live shows and five consistent albums, but broke up in 1995. Radioactive Records was an American record label. It was formed as a joint venture between talent manager Gary Kurfirst (who managed such acts as the Ramones, Big Audio Dynamite, Deee-Lite and Deborah Harry) and MCA Records, and it is now out of business. Its catalogue is now owned by Geffen Records and licensed through Universal Music Enterprises.
