The was a Japanese limited express electric multiple unit (EMU) train type introduced in 1972 by Japanese National Railways (JNR). Following the privatization of JNR, the 183 series was operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and West Japan Railway Company (JR-West). In terms of design, it is closely based on the late-model AC/DC 485 series, with minor cosmetic differences and DC-only drive. The last 189 series sets were withdrawn on 29 March 2019. The is a DC electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR-West) in Japan on limited express services such as the '' Kinosaki'' and '' Kounotori'' from Kyoto and Osaka since 12 March 2011. 287 series EMUs were introduced on ''Kuroshio'' services from the start of the revised timetable on 17 March 2012. A total of 97 vehicles were built. These consist of 46 vehicles for '' Kinosaki'', '' Kounotori'', ''Maizuru'', and ''Hashidate'' services, formed as seven 4-car sets and six 3-car sets, which will partially replace the ageing fleet of 86 183 series vehicles currently used on these services. The is a railway line operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West) connecting Osaka and Fukuchiyama, Kyoto, Fukuchiyama, Japan. The is a limited express train service operated by the West Japan Railway Company (JR West) between and in Japan since 12 March 2011. It replaced the previous ''Kitakinki'' services. The name means "stork", and was chosen because the stork is the prefectural bird of Hyōgo, and the city of Toyooka in particular has close involvement with stork breeding programmes. is a passenger railway station located in the city of Toyooka, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan, operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West). It serves the onsen (hot spring) district of Kinosaki. Lines Kinosaki Onsen Station is served by the San'in Main Line and is 158.0 kilometers from the terminus of the line at . The station is the dividing point between the electrified segment of the line up to Kyoto, and the non-electrified segment down to Hōki-Daisen. This is the farthest along the line that any regularly scheduled train from Kyoto will go (except the ''Hakuto'' Limited Express, which stops at Tottori Station but avoids the San'in Line for much of its route).
