Kit Zell
Kit Zell is a retired American soccer forward who played one season in the North American Soccer League. Zell played collegiate soccer at Seattle Pacific University from 1972 to 1975. In 1976, the Portland Timbers selected Zell in the second round of the North American Soccer League draft. He played two games as an amateur with the Timbers that season. The Portland Timbers are an American professional men's soccer club based in Portland, Oregon. The Timbers compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. The Timbers have played their home games at Providence Park since 2011, when the team began play as an expansion team in the league. North American Soccer League (1968–1984)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was the top-level major professional soccer league in the United States and Canada that operated from 1968 to 1984. It was the first soccer league to be successful on a national scale in the United States. The league final was called the Soccer Bowl from 1975 to 1983 and the Soccer Bowl Series in its final year, 1984. The league was headed by Commissioner Phil Woosnam from 1969 to 1983. Seattle Pacific University (SPU) is a private Christian university in Seattle, Washington. Marysville Getchell High School is a public high school in Marysville, Washington, United States. It is part of the Marysville School District. The campus has a student capacity of 1,600 in grades 9-12 and previously was organized into four small learning communities (SLCs): the Academy of Construction and Engineering (ACE), the BioMed Academy (BIO), the International School of Communications (ISC), and the School for the Entrepreneur (SFE). However, starting in the 2019-2020 school year, the school instead operates with no separation between the four schools.
