Kiss Army
The KISS Army is the official fan club for the American rock band Kiss (band), Kiss, as well as the unofficial name used to refer to Kiss fans in general. It was started unofficially in 1975 by Bill Starkey and Jay Evans. The membership form displayed for the first time what became known as the official Kiss Army logo, which was designed by Dennis Woloch and Vincent DiGerlando of Howard Marks Inc., the advertising agency working with Bill Aucoin and Kiss at that time. According to Bruce Vilanch, the president of the Kiss fan club was Ringo Starr's son when Kiss starred in "The Paul Lynde Halloween Special", in 1976. Rich Dickerson
Rich Dickerson is a retired talk radio host for WRLX, WZZR 94.3 FM in South Florida and presenter of the show The Love Doctors. In 1975, while program director at WVTS, Rich is attributed with inadvertently inciting fans of the band Kiss (band), Kiss to start the official Kiss fan club, the Kiss Army.Gooch, Curt and Jeff Suhs. Some of the letters included threats to blow up the station. Before long, listeners started calling the station asking how they could enlist. Dickerson worked with Starkey and Evans to provide advance promotion for a KISS concert at the new Hulman Center, Hulman Civic-University Center in Terre Haute. Turbojugend
Turbojugend, sometimes shortened to TJ, is the international fan club of the Norwegian deathpunk band Turbonegro. A Turbojugend member can be recognised by their specially-made denim jackets with the Turbonegro logo and "Turbojugend ame of chapter stitched on the back. The logo of Turbojugend Oslo can be found on almost every album Turbonegro has made. There are more than 2300 chapters worldwide. Origins Turbonegro guitarist Euroboy explained the club's origin: "We thought about how Kiss had the Kiss Army so we thought that Turbonegro should have our own Navy. Blue Army (Aerosmith)
Aerosmith's Blue Army is the American hard rock band's nickname for their loyal fanbase. The term was coined by the band around 1975.Davis, S. and Aerosmith: "Walk This Way", page 239. Avon, 1997 "Blue" referred to the blue denim jeans and jean jackets as well as the blue collar demographic of their fans. "Army" referred to their loyalty, youthfulness, and tough demeanor. Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry describes the Blue Army: "We drove up to the gig and the line went around the building, long-haired teenage boys wearing blue denim jackets and jeans. WVIG (105.5 FM, "The Legend") is a radio station broadcasting a classic country music format. Licensed to West Terre Haute, Indiana, United States, the station serves the Terre Haute area. The station is currently owned by David Crooks, through licensee DLC Media, Inc. WVIG is not licensed to broadcast in the digital hybrid HD format. On January 30, 2017, DLC Media took over ownership of WZJK as the previous call sign, WWVR, moved to Midwest Communications 98.5 signal as "98.5 The River WWVR", replacing AC 98.5 WBOW. ''Destroyer'' is the fourth studio album by American hard rock band Kiss, released on March 15, 1976, by Casablanca Records in the US. It was the third successive Kiss album to reach the top 40 in the US, as well as the first to chart in Germany and New Zealand. Fan Club
A fans club is an organized group of fans, generally of a celebrity. Most fans clubs are run by fans who devote considerable time and resources to support them. There are also "official" fan clubs that are run by someone associated with the person or organization the club is centered on. This is the case for many musicians, sports teams, etc. People in a fans club usually have either a T-shirt or a pin to indicate which fans club they are a part of. All fans clubs have unique paraphernalia that are given or sold to fans to use as an indication. Barbz, who support Nicki Minaj, Hollanders, who support Tom Holland, Carats, who support Seventeen, and A.R.M.Y who support BTS are examples of a fans club.
