Kishore Bangla
''Kishore Bangla'' ( bn, কিশোর বাংলা ) is the first juvenile weekly newspaper ever published in Bengali language. Background The publication of this newspaper commenced in 1977 at the behest of the Bangladesh government. It was published from the 'Observer House' and the eminent journalist and editor of weekly cine-magazine the '' Chitrali'', Syed Mohammad Parvez, was appointed the editor. However, writer, journalist and children's organizer Rafiqul Haque, popularly known as ''Dadu bhai'' was in charge as its executive editor. The Government of Bangladesh discontinued publication of ''Kishore Bangla'' in 1983. Since 2018 it is issued under a new ownership. Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury (1 April 1949) is a Bangladeshi journalist and editor of ''The Daily Observer''. He served as the Media and Information Affairs advisor to Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina for almost 5 years. Career Iqbal Sobhan did his M.A. in public administration at the University of Dhaka. He serves as the editor of ''The Daily Observer''. He was ex president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists. He served as a member of Bangladesh Film Censor Board, Bangladesh Press Council, and National Education Policy Draft Committee. Nasreen Jahan
Nasreen Jahan (born 1966) is a Bangladeshi writer and literary editor. She came to notice with the publication of her novel ''The Woman Who Flew: Urukku'' in 1993. Life Jahan was born and brought up in Mymensingh. She joined the ''Chander Hat'', a national children's and juvenile organization in 1974 and started to write rhymes and short stories in the children's page of daily newspaper Doinik Bangla. She was profusely encouraged by Literary Editor Late Ahsan Habib who was also a top-brass poet of Bangladesh.
