Soul Eater (manga)
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo. Set at the "Death Weapon Meister Academy", the series revolves around three teams, each consisting of a weapon meister and (at least one) weapon that can transform into a humanoid. Trying to make the latter a "death scythe" and thus fit for use by the academy's headmaster Shinigami, the personification of death, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and one witch, in that order; otherwise, they will have to start all over again. The manga was preceded by three separate one-shots published by Square Enix in 2003; the first two published in two ''Gangan Powered'' special editions and the last one in ''Gangan Wing''. Cloverfield/Kishin
is a manga and cross-media tie-in to the 2008 film ''Cloverfield''. The '' Shōnen Ace'' magazine published the manga on Kadokawa Shoten's website. It was released once a month and consists of four chapters. The story details the lives of two students seeking shelter before what may seem to be the Chuai incident seen in the film's viral marketing material, and their internal conflicts when the ''Cloverfield'' monster makes an appearance. One of the students is being tracked by a cult that has connections to both the monster and the fictional Japanese drilling company Tagruato. is a Japanese manga series written by Kikuhide Tani and illustrated by Yoshihiro Kuroiwa. In Buddhism, wrathful deities or fierce deities are the fierce, wrathful or forceful (Tibetan: ''trowo'', Sanskrit: ''krodha'') forms (or "aspects", "manifestations") of enlightened Buddhas, Bodhisattvas or Devas (divine beings); normally the same figure has other, peaceful, aspects as well. Kishin Corps
, also called ''Alien Defender Geo-Armor: Kishin Corps'', is a series of Japanese light novels written and illustrated by Masaki Yamada. The series was published in 10 volumes between 1990 and 1994. It is a work of alternate history, taking place in 1941 during World War II. An alien race invades the earth and their forces ally themselves with the Axis powers. To combat these aliens an elite allied unit called the Kishin Corps is created, using alien technology. The story deals with the main character Taishi, who obtains a secret alien device from his father, which the Germans are after to build their own robots. In 1995, ''Kishin Corps'' won the Seiun Award for "Best Japanese Novel of the Year". Kishin Shinoyama
is a Japanese photographer. He is well-known for photographing the covers for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's albums, Double Fantasy and Milk and Honey. Before his marriage to Saori Minami in 1979, he took majority of the photographs for her album covers with CBS/Sony. Life and work Shinoyama graduated from Nihon University. He worked with the Light Publicity agency while still a student, and freelanced after graduation. Shinoyama has put out a large number of books of photographs of girls, dressed, mostly undressed, and nude. On November 10, 2009 Shinoyama's home and office were searched by police on suspicion of public indecency. The searches stemmed from concerns regarding nude photos he allegedly took in public of two women in August 2008 for his book ''20XX TOKYO''.
