Kise Stable
, also known as Kimura Sehei stable, was a heya (sumo), heya or stable of sumo wrestlers, part of the Tatsunami ''ichimon'' or affiliated group of stables. History The original Kise stable (which had no connection to the current incarnation founded by the former Higonoumi) was led by the chief gyōji, referee Kimura Shōnosuke and several other referees also took charge of it (a practice no longer permitted). Its ninth master was however a former wrestler, former ''maegashira'' Katsuragawa Shichiro, Katsuragawa, who re–established the stable in 1958. He resigned voluntarily from the Sumo Association in 1967 and his son-in-law, ''maegashira'' Kiyonomori Masao, Kiyonomori retired from active competition and took over from him. It was the only stable to allow amateurs as well as professionals to train in it, and it was also open to practitioners of other martial arts such as kendo. Kise Stable (2003)
is a stable of sumo wrestlers, part of the Dewanoumi ''ichimon'' or group of stables. It was established in its current form in December 2003 by former ''maegashira'' and Nihon University amateur champion Higonoumi, who branched off from Mihogaseki stable. The stable's first top division wrestler was Kiyoseumi in January 2008. Its foreign recruit, Georgian Gagamaru, in May 2010 earned promotion to the top division. It is a popular destination for wrestlers with collegiate sumo experience like its stablemaster, and the retirement of Gagamaru in November 2020 opened up another spot for a foreigner. Following the demotion of Kise-''oyakata'' (or stablemaster) in May 2010 after a scandal involving the selling of tournament tickets to members of the yakuza, Kise stable was dissolved with all 27 of its wrestlers moving to the affiliated Kitanoumi stable. Higonoumi Naoya (born 23 September 1969 as Naoto Sakamoto) is a former sumo wrestler from Kumamoto, Kumamoto, Kumamoto, Japan. After his retirement he opened up Kise stable (2003), Kise stable. Career A former amateur champion at Nihon University, he turned professional in 1992, joining Mihogaseki stable and making his debut in the ''makushita'' division as a ''makushita tsukedashi'' entrant. Initially fighting under the ''shikona'' of Sakamotoyama, he lost only two bouts in his first three tournaments, reaching the ''jūryō'' division in July 1992 and the top ''makuuchi'' division in February 1993. He was ranked in the top division for 53 consecutive tournaments, every one as a ''maegashira''. The Kise Mill Bridge Historic District, also known as Mickley's Mill, is a national historic district that is located in Newberry Township in York County, Pennsylvania. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. History and architectural features This district encompasses one contributing building, two contributing sites, and four contributing structures, including the miller's house (c. 1810), the buried foundations of a stone grist mill building that was erected in 1840 on the site of a log mill that had been established circa 1790, portions of the head and tailrace, an exposed sawmill foundation, and a mill pond dam. The miller's house is a two-and-one-half-story, three-bay, banked, sandstone dwelling. An early nineteenth century log house was moved to the site in 1973 and attached to the miller's house.
