Kirsi Ylijoki
Kirsi Marja Ylijoki (born 29 June 1969) is a Finnish actress and singer who first achieved fame for her role in the Finnish Soap Opera ''Sydän toivoa täynnä''. Several TV roles followed. In recent years she has held back her own career to raise her children with Apocalyptica Apocalyptica is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Helsinki, formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, and Perttu Kivilaakso, and jazz drummer Mikko Sirén. Originally a classical- ...'s Eicca Toppinen, but she remains popular with Finnish audiences. Ylijoki and Toppinen married in 1997, and have two sons; one born in 1999, the other 2002. She and Toppinen are members of the rock band Cherry & the Vipers; Kirsi is the singer and Toppinen plays the drums. Eino Matti "Eicca" Toppinen (born 5 August 1975) is a Finnish cellist The cello ( ; plural ''celli'' or ''cellos'') or violoncello ( ; ) is a bowed (sometimes plucked and occasionally hit) string instrument of the violin family. Its four strings are usually tuned in perfect fifths: from low to high, C2, G2, D3 ..., songwriter, producer, arranger, and (as a hobby) Drum kit, drummer. In 1993 he formed the quartet Apocalyptica. Biography Toppinen grew up in Vantaa's Hakunila and has three sisters and one brother, all of whom took instrument lessons while growing up. He started playing cello when he was nine. He and his sisters made several amateur recordings for their family, usually for Christmas. He attended the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, where he met future Apocalyptica band members Paavo Lötjönen, Antero Manninen, and Max Lilja. Apocalyptica is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Helsinki, formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, and Perttu Kivilaakso, and jazz drummer Mikko Sirén. Originally a classical-style Metallica tribute band, the band eventually adopted a neoclassical metal style without the use of conventional guitars and bass. They have sold over four million albums to date.
