Kiroileva Siili
''Kiroileva siili'' ( Finnish for "the swearing hedgehog") is a comic strip written and drawn by Finnish artist Milla Paloniemi originally from Jalasjärvi. The strip stars a hedgehog, who is aggressive and prone to profanity, and the last panel of the strip is usually abundant with swearwords. The strip received attention when it was featured in the ''Ilta-Sanomat'' newspaper in January 2007, which caused the self-published album ''Kiroileva siili'' to rise as the top-selling comic album of the Academic Bookstore. In February 2007, the publishing company Sammakko published a hardcover collection of ''Kiroileva siili'' strips, which rose to the most-sold book in Finland for the entire spring. Finnish Language
Finnish ( endonym: or ) is a Uralic language of the Finnic branch, spoken by the majority of the population in Finland and by ethnic Finns outside of Finland. Helsinki Comics Festival is an annual free cultural event in Helsinki, Finland. It has become the largest comics event in North-Europe. The festival is typically held in early September. Domesticated Hedgehog
The most common species of domesticated hedgehog is the four-toed hedgehog (''Atelerix albiventris''). The Algerian hedgehog (''Atelerix algirus'') is a separate species of hedgehog. Egyptian Long-eared Hedgehog
The long-eared hedgehog (''Hemiechinus auritus'') is a species of hedgehog native to Central Asian countries and some countries of the Middle East. The long-eared hedgehog lives in burrows that it either makes or finds and is distinguished by its long ears. It is considered one of the smallest Middle Eastern hedgehogs.Qumsiyeh, M. B.. Puukko
A puukko () is a small traditional Finnish general purpose belt knife with a single curved cutting edge, solid hidden tang and, usually, a flat spine. Military models of puukko were popular in the Russian criminal underworld under the name "Finnish knife" or ''finka'' since the 20th century. The modified version were among the models on which the Soviet military knife NR-40 was based and which was informally called "finka". Design The basic components of a puukko are a handle and a blade along with a sheath, which can usually be attached to a belt but sometimes to a shirt or coat button. Ostrobothnia ( sv, Österbotten; fi, Pohjanmaa) is a region in western Finland. It borders the regions of Central Ostrobothnia, South Ostrobothnia, and Satakunta. It is one of four regions considered modern-day Ostrobothnia, hence also referred to as Coastal Ostrobothnia to avoid confusion. Ostrobothnia is one of two Finnish regions with a Swedish-speaking majority (the other being the constitutionally monolingual province of Åland); Swedish-speakers make up 51.2% of the total population. A comic strip is a sequence of drawings, often cartoons, arranged in interrelated panels to display brief humor or form a narrative, often serialized, with text in balloons and captions.
