Kirkhope Tower
Kirkhope Tower is a Scottish Pele, located in the Ettrick Valley, in the historic county of Selkirkshire, now a division of the Scottish Borders. The tower lies a mile to the north west of Ettrickbridge, and seven miles (11 km) from the Burgh of Selkirk. Construction Overview A remote and austere building, Kirkhope Tower is of a square footprint and constructed from local stone. It consists of four main floors and a garret floor above the parapet. Its small windows are constructed with simple relieving arches and stand with the exception of the light into the Ground floor at heights of over thirty feet. It stands on rough ground that slopes steeply away to the valley below. Grant Kirkhope
Grant Kirkhope is a Scottish-American composer and voice actor for video games and film. Some of his notable works include '' GoldenEye 007'', '' Banjo-Kazooie'', ''Donkey Kong 64'', and ''Perfect Dark'', among many others. He has been nominated for various BAFTA, ASCAP, and IFMCA awards. Early life and education Kirkhope was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, where his mother worked as a music hall dancer. Kirkhope's father was an avid music fan and exposed him to early influences such as Frank Sinatra and Glenn Miller. Kirkhope taught himself to play guitar at age 11 and is classically trained in the trumpet. Kirkhope was brought up in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire from the age of five, and attended King James's School. Kirkhope played in various bands after leaving the Royal Northern College of Music, including Zoot and the Roots along with the saxophonist Snake Davis. Kirkhope also spent many years as part of "the Big Bad Horns" which were part of UK rock band Little Angels. ...

Tony Kirkhope
Anthony James Henry Kirkhope (10 October 1949 – 29 May 1997) was a British filmmaker and distributor. He was also the co-founder with Eva Tarr of the Latin American Film Festival. Biography Film As well as producing and directing films, he founded the Metro Cinema in Rupert Street, Soho, in 1985, and also the Latin American Film Festival, with his wife Eva Tarr, in 1989. He is credited to have produced a short video piece called '' Soft and Hard''. Personal life In 1994, Kirkhope married Eva Tarr, who was born in Havana, Cuba.
