Kirk Muyres
Kirk Lyle Muyres (born June 29, 1990) is a Canadian curler. He is a former Canadian junior champion. Career Juniors As a youth, Muyres was a member of the Saskatchewan team at the 2007 Canada Winter Games, where he played 5th. For much of his junior career, Muyres played third for the Josh Heidt rink. The team played in their first provincial men's championship in 2010 when Muyres was just 19. The team won one game in the event. After the season, Muyres left the team to play for the Braeden Moskowy rink at third. The team won the Saskatchewan Junior championships that year, earning the rink the right to represent Saskatchewan at the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. At the Canadian Juniors, the team - which also included Colton Flasch and Matt Lang - went undefeated (12-0) through the round robin, and proceeded to win the event by defeating Ontario's Mathew Camm in the final. The 2007 Canada Games, Canada Winter Games were held in Whitehorse, Yukon, from Friday 23 February 2007 to Saturday 10 March 2007. These were the first Canada Games held ''Northern Canada, North of 60'' (in the northern territories). The games were held concurrent with the Inuit Games and Dene Games. The Games were televised by CBC Television, CBC, Société Radio-Canada, SRC, The Sports Network, TSN, Réseau des sports, RDS, and Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, APTN. 2011 Players' Championship
The 2011 GP Car and Home Players' Championship was a Grand Slam curling bonspiel held at the Crystal Centre in Grande Prairie, Alberta from April 12–17. It features a men's and women's draw, where the top sixteen teams from the Order of Merit rankings for the 2010-11 curling season are invited to compete. It was the final Grand Slam event for the season, and one of the last curling events for the season. The purse for the men's and women's event was CAD$100,000 each. On the men's side, Kevin Martin won his record seventh Players' championship with a win over Niklas Edin in seven ends, while Jennifer Jones secured her fourth Players' championship with a win over Ontario junior champion Rachel Homan after a big eighth end. Grand Slam Of Curling
The Grand Slam of Curling (branded as the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling for sponsorship reasons) is a series of curling bonspiels that are a part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World. The Grand Slam was instituted during the 2001–02 season for men and 2006–07 for women (with the 2006 Players' Championship also considered a Slam), but some of the Grand Slam events have longer histories as bonspiels. The Grand Slam season consists of six men's and women's events. The original four events (Masters, Open, National, and Players' Championship) are considered to be "majors". Peter De Cruz
Peter Vincent de Cruz (born 4 January 1990) is a Swiss curler. He is an Olympic bronze medallist for Switzerland, having skipped his Swiss rink to a third place finish at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. While de Cruz is the skip of his team, he throws second stones. As a junior, De Cruz skipped the Swiss team at both the 2010 and 2011 World Junior Curling Championships. He won the gold medal in 2010, defeating Scotland, skipped by Ally Fraser. In 2011, he took Switzerland to the finals once again, but this time lost to Sweden (skipped by Oskar Eriksson) in the final. De Cruz has won bronze medals at three World Curling Championship, in 2014, 2017 and 2019. The 2011 World Junior Curling Championships were held from 5 to 13 March at the Dewars Centre in Perth, Scotland. In the men's tournament, Sweden's Oskar Eriksson won the final 6-5 over Switzerland's Peter de Cruz, while Scotland's Eve Muirhead won 10-3 in the final over Canada's Trish Paulsen in the women's tournament. Mathew Camm
Mathew Robert "Mat" Camm (born March 29, 1990) is a Canadian curler from Cornwall, Ontario. He currently plays third on Team John Epping. Camm is originally from Rockland, Ontario. Career Juniors In 2007, Camm played second for the Neil Sinclair rink which won the Ontario Bantam boy's championship. The team also won the silver medal at the Canada Winter Games that year. In 2010, Camm lost in the final of the Pepsi Ontario Junior Curling Championships to Jake Walker. When Walker went on to win the Canadian Junior Curling Championships that year, he selected Camm to play as the team's alternate at the 2010 World Junior Curling Championships, where the team won bronze medals. Camm had an even more successful 2010–11 season. In 2010, his junior team won the Ontario Curling Tour championship. Matt Lang is a Canadian country singer and songwriter. He is signed to the Jayward Artist Group, and has released one album ''More'' and five singles, including " Getcha" and " Only a Woman". Early life Lang is from Maniwaki, Quebec. He recalls Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" as the first song he ever performed live. While primarily playing hockey as a teenager, Lang realized his true passion was writing and performing music. Colton Flasch (born February 27, 1991) is a Canadian curler from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He currently plays third on Team Mike McEwen. Career Juniors After having curled with the Mike Armstrong junior rink, Flasch joined the Braeden Moskowy rink at second position in 2010. The team won the Saskatchewan Junior championships that year, earning the rink the right to represent Saskatchewan at the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. At the Canadian Juniors, the team- which also included Kirk Muyres and Matt Lang- went undefeated (12-0) through the round robin, and proceeded to win the event by defeating Ontario's Mathew Camm in the final. Braeden Moskowy
Braeden Moskowy (born August 14, 1990) is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. He is a former Canadian junior curling champion and a six-time Brier competitor. Career Moskowy has represented Saskatchewan in two Canadian Junior Curling Championships: skipping the province in 2010 and 2011. At the 2010 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, he lost in the semi-final to Ontario's Jake Walker. At the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, Moskowy finished 12–0 in the round robin advancing to the final. In the final Moskowy beat Ontario's Mathew Camm to finish the week a perfect 13–0.
