Kiolbassa is an American sausage processing, packaging, and distribution company based in San Antonio, Texas. Kiolbassa is family-owned and has been in business since 1949. History Rufus and Juanita Kiolbassa founded the company in 1949 on San Antonio's West side, where the sausage is still produced. It was originally called the Kiolbassa Provision Company. Rufus died in 1960 at the age of 45, leaving the company to his wife and three children. His son, Robert, dropped out of college to run the company starting in 1960. Robert's son, Michael joined the company in 1987 and became the company president in 2021 after the death of Robert. During his tenure, Kiolbassa has become the highest grossing premium sausage manufacturer in Texas. Products Kiolbassa specializes in beef sausages. KSAT-TV (channel 12) is a television station in San Antonio, Texas, United States, affiliated with ABC. Owned by Graham Media Group, the station maintains studios on North St. Mary's Street on the northern edge of downtown, and its transmitter is located off Route 181 in northwest Wilson County (northeast of Elmendorf). History KONO-TV Channel 12 was the last commercial VHF allocation in San Antonio to be awarded. The first applicant for the allocation came in June 1952, from Bexar County Television Corporation, a subsidiary of Alamo Broadcasting Company, owners of radio station KABC. KENS (channel 5) is a television station in San Antonio, Texas, United States, affiliated with CBS and owned by Tegna Inc. The station's studios are located on Fredericksburg Road in northwest San Antonio, near the South Texas Medical Center, while its transmitter is located off US 181 in northwest Wilson County (northeast of Elmendorf).
