The Kinshasa Financial Center (French language, French: ''Centre Financier de Kinshasa'') is a Financial centre, financial hub strategically located in the Gombe, Kinshasa, Gombe commune of Kinshasa, in the western region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Covering a total area of 41,000 square meters, it is the largest financial center in the DRC. The center houses key institutions such as the Minister of Finance (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Ministries of Finance and Budget, the Minister of Finance (Democratic Republic of the Congo), General Directorates, the General Inspectorate of Finance, the General Secretariat of Finance, and the Development finance institution, Development Bank. Gombe, Kinshasa
Gombe or La Gombe is a municipality (''commune'') in the Lukunga district of Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was formerly known as Kalina, after Lieutenant E. Kallina - an Austro-Hungarian soldier who volunteered in the Congo Free State. Gombe is bounded on the north by the Congo River and in the south by the Boulevard du 30 Juin. Gombe is both a residential area and Kinshasa's business district. Originally the place that housed colonial administrative offices, ''cités indigènes,'' neighborhoods meant for non-colonists, formed around the neighborhood. Kinshasa General Hospital is a hospital in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Before the ousting of President Mobutu Sese Seko it was known as Mama Yemo Hospital after the president's mother. The 2000-bed hospital registers over 3,000 consultations daily. It was one of the first places where AIDS was observed. History Prior to independence from Belgium, the country had one of the best-regarded hospital systems on the continent - albeit one that was limited almost entirely to the white population. 2023 Democratic Republic Of The Congo General Election
General elections were held in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on 20 December 2023. Combined elections were held for the President, 484 of the 500 members of the National Assembly, 700 of the 716 elected members of the 26 provincial assemblies, and for the first time under the new constitution, 951 members of a scaled down number of commune (municipal) councils.
