Kingswood College (Box Hill)
Kingswood College a is coeducational K-12 college located in the eastern Melbourne suburb of Box Hill South, Victoria, Australia. It began as New College in 1890, and was known as Box Hill Grammar from 1928 to 1965. Among other associations, it operates in association with the Uniting Church in Australia but is not governed or managed by the Church. History In 1890, Arthur Stephenson established New College, in Rose Street Box Hill, as a boys' school for day students and boarders. The school was renamed Box Hill Grammar around 1928. The Methodist Church assumed responsibility for the school in 1929 and purchased a property in Station Street, Box Hill, known as Gwynton Park. A new building, the Cato Block, was built there in 1930. The move to the new site generated much optimism, and a master plan of imposing buildings was developed. Kingswood College (Doncaster)
Kingswood College Doncaster was a co-educational secondary school and primary school located near the corner of Anderson's Creek Road and Warrandyte Road, Doncaster East, Victoria. A school of the Uniting Church, it operated for five years from 1985 until closure in 1989. History The school was established in 1985 in portable buildings on a north facing hillside. Initially, there were approximately 65 founding students covering years 5, 6 and 7 but over the course of five years, the school expanded to accommodate new students, staff, year levels and buildings. The founding principal was Brian Keyte and vice principal Peter Haines. They remained in their respective positions until the school's closure. Due to over expenditure and the strain of the late 1980s recession, the school was closed down at the end of 1989. Kingswood College ( Sinhala: කිංස්වුඩ් විද්‍යාලය Tamil: கிங்ஸ்வுட் கல்லூரி) is a public school which offers primary and secondary education for boys in Sri Lanka. The school was founded by L. E. Blaze on 4 May 1891, with 11 students at a site on Pavilion Street in Kandy. Later, the school was moved to a site on Peradeniya Road. Since then, the school has grown considerably, having over 3,500 students and 200 faculty members. It is one of the oldest schools in Kandy and is commonly known as KCK. Scarisbrick Hall School
Scarisbrick Hall School is a mixed private school, located in Scarisbrick Hall, Lancashire, England, that educates children from nursery to age 18. History Scarisbrick Hall is a 150-room mansion built between 1830 and 1860 by the architect Augustus Pugin, who also worked on the Palace of Westminster. The Scarisbrick family lived on this site from 1238 to 1946. The Hall is an example of residential Gothic renaissance architecture and is a Grade I listed building of special architectural interest. The 75 ft tower (and blueprint for Big Ben), was recently restored, along with other areas of the hall in a £7m project.
