Kingsbury High School
Kingsbury High School is a large two-site high school with academy status in Kingsbury, London, England. Kingsbury County Grammar School was established on 15 September 1925 as Kingsbury County School. Prior to the establishment of the school, the area had been served by a number of schools, which, in keeping with the future history of Kingsbury County School, had been subjected to the prevailing changes in population and politics of the area. Although there are reports of a school being kept in the area in c. 1530, by John Bishop the curate of Kingsbury, there is no more evidence until the nineteenth century of schooling in Kingsbury. Schooling is mentioned in 1819, and in 1822 a day school was opened. This school was situated near the junction of Kingsbury Road and Roe Green, which itself is looked at open by the current Kingsbury High School. This school was closed in 1876. Kingsbury School, Warwickshire
Kingsbury School is a coeducational secondary school located in the village of Kingsbury, Warwickshire, England. Its main catchment area is Kingsbury, but students also attend from a number of neighbouring villages, such as Hurley and Whitacre Heath, Picadilly, Wood End, Bodymoor Heath and Middleton. The school occupies a fairly central part of the village, and a school has existed in Kingsbury for over 300 years. The original school was established in 1686 by Thomas Coton. The present comprehensive school was built in 1956, and currently caters for around 610 students, whose ages range from 11 to 18. It is a specialist mathematics and science college. Following poor results in 2008 where the school was placed at the bottom of the Warwickshire league tables and significantly below national the school has undergone significant transformation. Erdington Academy is a Mixed-sex education, mixed-sex academy located in Erdington, Birmingham, England. Erdington Academy converted to an Academy (English school), academy status in September 2016, joining the Fairfax Multi Academy Trust. The academy had its opening ceremony on 17 October 2016, being officially opened by Labour MP, Jack Dromey. The school is part of the same family of school as Fairfax Academy in Sutton Coldfield.
