The King's River ( ga, Abhainn Rí) is a river in Ireland that flows through the counties of Tipperary and Kilkenny. It is part of the Nore catchment area and is a tributary of the River Nore. Course Overview From the townland of Graigaman, in the civil parish of Buolick in the barony of Slievardagh, the King's River drains the southern side of the Slieveardagh Hills. Flowing southeast, it crosses into County Kilkenny where it is joined by the Munster River. It then passes through the town of Callan, County Kilkenny, Callan. Continuing eastwards, it passes Kells. The Kings River is a tributary of the White River. It rises in the Boston Mountains of Arkansas and flows northward for more than 90 miles into Table Rock Lake in Missouri. The Arkansas portion of the river is undammed and bordered by rural and forested land, the river is popular for paddling and sport fishing. Course The highest sources of the Kings River are at an elevation of more than on the north slope of the Boston Mountains in the Ozark National Forest. The stream headwaters arise on the north flank of a ridge about 1.5 miles east of Boston at an elevation of about 2270 feet. The stream flows generally north through the Kings River Falls Natural Area. The Kings River is a tributary of the Quinn River, about long, in northwestern Nevada and south-central Oregon in the United States. It drains a remote arid area of the northwestern Great Basin. Description The river rises in northern Humboldt County, Nevada, west of Disaster Peak in The Granites, part of the Trout Creek Mountains, near the Oregon state line. Flowing northwest, it crosses briefly into Harney County, Oregon, then turns sharply south and re-enters Humboldt County for the rest of its course. It flows generally south between the Bilk Creek Mountains on the right (west) and the Montana Mountains, then the Double H Mountains on the left.
