King Of Pain (album)
is the twenty-third studio album by Japanese heavy metal band Loudness. It was released on May 19, 2010 only in Japan and marks the full-length debut of drummer Masayuki Suzuki. Guitarist Akira Takasaki would later say ''King of Pain'' was focused on featuring Suzuki. The album reached number 21 on the Oricon chart. The album shows a return to standard-tuned guitars and bass, and according to some fans, a return to their 1980s sound. Loudness (band)
is a Japanese heavy metal band formed in 1981 by guitarist Akira Takasaki and drummer Munetaka Higuchi. They were the first Japanese metal act signed to a major label in the United States. Loudness subsequently released 26 studio albums (five licensed in America) and nine live albums by 2014 and reached the ''Billboard'' Top 100 during their heyday as well as charting on Oricon dozens of times. Despite numerous changes in its line-up, with Takasaki the sole constant member, the band continued their activities throughout the 1990s, finally reuniting the original line-up in 2001. This incarnation released a further seven albums until November 30, 2008, when original drummer Munetaka Higuchi died from liver cancer at a hospital in Osaka at age 49. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. is a publisher in Japan, headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo. The company was established in 1954 by Yasuyoshi Tokuma in Minato, Tokyo. Akira Takasaki
is a Japanese musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist and sole constant member of the heavy metal band Loudness. He is also the guitarist of the band Lazy, with which he first rose to prominence in the 1970s. Career He started his career as a guitarist, winning a TV contest for young music talents at the age of 14. He was rapidly put under contract to be part of the pop-rock band Lazy, of which drummer Munetaka Higuchi was also a member. Lazy produced five successful albums at the end of the 1970s, but Takasaki's musical style, oriented towards hard rock and heavy metal, did not gel with the band and in 1981 he decided to form his own band, Loudness, alongside bandmate Higuchi. Eve To Dawn
is the twenty-fourth studio album by Japanese heavy metal band Loudness, released on September 14, 2011. The album reached number 36 on the Oricon chart. In an interview, guitarist Akira Takasaki described the album as more "aggressive" than ''King of Pain''. Saying, the previous album was focused on featuring drummer Masayuki Suzuki, but that ''Eve to Dawn'' would be guitar driven. Singer Minoru Niihara said that the lyrics has a more positive vibe than in previous releases because of the impact of the Great East Japan earthquake and the instrumental "A Light in the Dark" was dedicated by Takasaki to that tragic event. Regarding the album title "Eve to Dawn", 'Eve' was added due to the fact that Loudness celebrated the 30th anniversary of their debut album ''The Birthday Eve'' and that the late Munetaka Higuchi's birthday was on Christmas Eve, 'Dawn' has the double meaning of a new start towards the world, as well as the rising sun of Japan. Guitar tunings are the assignment of pitches to the open strings of guitars, including acoustic guitars, electric guitars, and classical guitars. Tunings are described by the particular pitches that are made by notes in Western music.
