King Mosque, Elbasan
The King Mosque ( sq, Xhamia Mbret or ''Xhamia e Hynqarit'', tr, Hünkâr Camii) or Sultan Bayezid Mosque () is a historical Ottoman-era mosque within the Ottoman Elbasan Castle in the town of Elbasan, Albania. The mosque was built by Sultan Bayazid II around 1482–1485. This makes it one of the oldest active mosques in Albania besides the Fatih Mosque in Durrës. It lies to the north of the river Shkumbin between the Skanderbeg Mountains and the Myzeqe Plain in central Albania. Elbasan Castle
Elbasan castle ( sq, Kalaja e Elbasanit) is a 15th-century fortress in the city of Elbasan, Albania. The castle was initially composed of 26 equidistant high towers. Part of Via Egnatia passes through the castle Foundations. The Fatih Mosque () is a Cultural Monument of Albania, located in Durrës. It was built in 1502, the year after the Turkish conquest of the city, and named for the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, ''(Sulltan Mehmet Fatihu)''.
