King Faisal Babes F.C.
King Faisal Football Club is a professional association football club based in Kumasi, Ashanti, Ghana. The club competes in the Glo Premier League. They were represented at the 2006 FIFA World Cup by left-back Habib Mohamed. The club have never won the Ghana Premier League. The club was named by its owner Alhaji Grunsah after King Faisal. Baba Yara Sports Stadium (also Kumasi Sports Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ashanti. It is Ghana's List of football stadiums in Ghana, largest stadium, with a seating capacity of 40,528. Miroslav Buljan (born December 18, 1955) is Croatian retired professional football manager and former player. He particularly managed various Croatian clubs in the 1.HNL, 2.HNL, and 3.HNL, as well as Široki Brijeg in the Bosnian Premier League. Steven George Polack (born 10 January 1961) is an English football manager and former player who the head coach of Gor Mahia F.C. in Kenya. As a player, he spent most of his career as a defender in Finland, also receiving Finnish citizenship. Early life Polack was born in Birmingham, England to an English mother and a father from the West Indies. Career Polack played 13 seasons and 301 caps for RoPS Rovaniemi and FC Inter in the Finnish premier division Veikkausliiga from 1984 to 1994 and 1996–1997. Hans-Dieter Schmidt (born 9 January 1948) is a former German football player turned manager. Playing career Schmidt's playing career – part of which he spent with Hannover 96 – ended early after a severe injury at the age of 23. Coaching career Following the end of his playing days, Schmidt passed his manager diploma and worked as manager of SV Meppen for several years. After spending a year with Eintracht Nordhorn, Schmidt joined VfB Oldenburg as manager and came in second place in the German amateur football championship in 1988. In the same year, he joined FC Bayern Munich, managing their reserve team for two years, before taking over as managing director of Hannover 96.
