King's College London
King's College London (informally King's or KCL) is a public university, public research university in London, England. King's was established by royal charter in 1829 under the patronage of George IV of the United Kingdom, King George IV and the Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, Duke of Wellington. In 1836, King's became one of the two founding colleges of the University of London. It is one of the Third-oldest university in England debate, oldest university-level institutions in England. Maurice Bishop
Maurice Rupert Bishop (29 May 1944 – 19 October 1983) was a Grenada, Grenadian revolutionary and the leader of the New Jewel Movement (NJM) – a Marxist–Leninist party that sought to prioritise socio-economic development, education and black liberation. The NJM came to power during the 13 March 1979 revolution which removed Prime Minister Eric Gairy from office. Bishop headed the People's Revolutionary Government (Grenada), People's Revolutionary Government of Grenada (PRG) from 1979 to 1983. In October 1983, he was deposed as Prime Minister and executed during a coup engineered by Deputy Prime Minister Bernard Coard. This quickly led to the demise of the PRG. Zubir Ahmed
Zubir Ahmed (born ) is a Scottish Labour Party politician and surgeon serving as Member of Parliament (MP) for Glasgow South West since 2024. Early life and medical career Ahmed was born to Pakistani parents who emigrated to Scotland in the 1960s, and was the eldest of five children. His father was a taxi driver and he grew up in Govanhill, Glasgow. Ahmed was awarded a scholarship to attend Hutchesons' Grammar School, where he was a contemporary of Anas Sarwar and Humza Yousaf. He received a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Glasgow in 2005, where he studied alongside Sarwar once again. He was awarded a Master of Science in healthcare from University College London in 2012, a doctorate in transplantation from King's College London in 2019, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde in 2020.
