Kincora is a census-designated place in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. The CDP was first drawn prior to the 2020 census. Geography Kincora is in eastern Loudoun County, between Virginia State Route 28 to the east and Broad Run to the west. It extends north to Virginia State Route 7 and south to Gloucester Parkway. Russell Branch Parkway runs north–south through the center of the CDP. Kincora is bordered to the east by Dulles Town Center and to the north, west, and south by Ashburn. It is north of Dulles International Airport and northwest of Washington, D.C. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Kincora CDP has a total area of , of which , or 0.02%, are water. State Route 28 (SR 28) in the U.S. state of Virginia is a primary state highway that traverses the counties of Loudoun, Fairfax, Prince William, and Fauquier in the U.S. state of Virginia. Ashburn is a census-designated place (CDP) in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. At the 2010 United States Census, its population was 43,511, up from 3,393 twenty years earlier. It is northwest of Washington, D.C., and part of the Washington metropolitan area. Ashburn is a major hub for Internet traffic, due to its many data centers. Andrew Blum characterized it as the "bullseye of America's Internet". History Ashburn was originally called "Farmwell" (variant names include "Old Farmwell" and "Farmwell Station") after a nearby mansion of that name owned by George Lee III. Dulles Town Center is a census-designated place (CDP) in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. It is located about north of Washington Dulles International Airport. The CDP is the location of the Dulles Town Center shopping mall, for which it is named. The United States Postal Service considers Dulles Town Center to be a subsection of Dulles, which is itself a subsection of Sterling; none of these locations is an incorporated municipality. The population as of the 2010 United States Census was 4,601. History In December 1987, Loudoun County officials approved the jurisdiction's first regional shopping mall. Virginia State Route 7 (VA 7) is a major primary state highway and busy commuter route in northern Virginia, United States. It travels southeast from downtown Winchester to SR 400 (Washington Street) in downtown Alexandria. Broad Run (Loudoun County, Virginia)
Broad Run is a tributary of the Potomac River in Loudoun County, Virginia. The creek, located between Goose Creek and Sugarland Run, principally drains portions of eastern Loudoun County, as well as a small portion of western Fairfax County. The headwaters of the creek are located about northeast of Aldie. The creek flows eastward near Arcola and continues generally northeast to its mouth at the Potomac near the southern end of Seldon's Island to the north of Sterling and about southeast of Leesburg. The watershed of the creek is 67.5 mi2 (175 km2) in Loudoun and 23.8 mi2 (62 km2) in Fairfax. The majority of the run forms the border between the unincorporated areas of Ashburn and Sterling.
