Kimidi Kalavenkata Rao is an Indian politician and Telugu Desam Party leader. He was appointed President of the Andhra Pradesh Division of the Telugu Desam Party after the partition of Andhra Pradesh. Political Life * Rao joined the Telugu Desam Party in 1983 with the formation of the party. In the 1983, 1985, 1989 and 2004 elections, he won the Unukuru Assembly constituency four times as an MLA on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party. He served as the Minister of Trade Taxes, Municipalities and Home Affairs in the Governments of Telugu Desam. * Rao served as the Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam-TTD. The Praja Rajyam Party was a political party in India. Formation The first public meeting was held by Chiranjeevi on 26 August 2008, at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He addressed a gathering of about a million people and announced the party name and its agenda. The party flag, which has white colour making up 3/4 of the height at the top, and the bottom 1/4 filled with green, was unveiled at the meeting. In the middle of the flag, a red-coloured sun symbol is encircled with a yellow line. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is an independent trust which manages the temples including the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh. The trust oversees the operations and finances of the richest and the most visited religious center in the world. It is also involved in various social, religious, literary and educational activities. TTD is headquartered at Tirupati and employs about 16,000 people.
