Anne Kimbell Relph, known professionally as Anne Kimbell (née Banks; June 28, 1932 – May 16, 2017) was an American actress most active on screen during the 1950s. Kimbell is best known as the star of the 1954 science fiction film, ''Monster from the Ocean Floor''. Beginning in the early 1990s, Kimbell preserved the Jones Theater in Westcliffe, Colorado, and founded the Westcliffe Center for the Performing Arts. Early years Kimbell was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Andrew and Kathryn (née Collins) Banks. She moved to Hollywood, California with her family when she was three years old. At the age of four, she was cast in her first radio role on ''The Children’s Radio Workshop'' in Los Angeles, which began her radio and voice acting career. Douglas Kimbell
Douglas Burns "Doug" Kimbell (born June 22, 1960, in Long Beach, California) is a former USA National Team water polo player who won the silver medal for the United States at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. He was also a member of the USA Water Polo team at the 1992 Summer Olympics, which finished fourth in Barcelona, Spain. Kimbell graduated from Villa Park High School in 1978 and still holds many of the school's swimming and water polo scoring records. He attended UCLA briefly on an athletic scholarship, transferring to Santa Ana College (SAC) and then completing his collegiate career at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). He is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame for both CSULB and SAC. In 2000, Kimbell was inducted into the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame. Abigail R. "Gail" Kimbell was the 16th and first female Chief of the United States Forest Service. Biography Kimbell was raised New England, where she spent her formative years hiking, fishing, and camping in the White Mountain National Forest. She received a bachelor's degree in forest management from the University of Vermont in 1974 and later a master's degree in forest engineering from Oregon State University. She worked as a seasonal employee before beginning her federal forestry career in 1974 with the Bureau of Land Management in Medford, Oregon. She then joined the Forest Service as a pre-sale forester in Kodiak, Alaska in 1977. She next worked in Oregon as a logging engineer and then a district planner. Kay Kimbell (June 15, 1886 in Leon County, Texas – April 13, 1964 in Fort Worth, Texas) was an entrepreneur and philanthropist, especially as benefactor of the Kimbell Art Museum. Born to Benjamin B. and Mattie (Jones) Kimbell, he attended the public schools in Whitewright, Texas, but quit school in the eighth grade to work as an office boy in a grain-milling company there, where he later founded the Beatrice Milling Company. This firm grew into Kimbell Milling Company, the pilot organization of diverse interests that Kimbell later founded or directed. At the time of his death he was the head of more than seventy corporations, including flour, feed, and oil mills, grocery chains (Buddies, sold to Winn-Dixie but later closed when the chain left the DFW market), an insurance company, and a wholesale grocery firm. Ralph Raymond Kimbell (12 June 1884 – 4 August 1964) was an English cricketer. Kimbell's batting and bowling styles are unknown. He was born in Boughton, Northamptonshire. Kimbell played his only first-class match for Northamptonshire in the 1908 County Championship against Essex. In this match, he was dismissed for a duck by Johnny Douglas in Northamptonshire's first-innings. In their second-innings he was dismissed for 4 runs by Bill Reeves. With the ball, he took 2 wickets, those of Arnold Read and Walter Mead in the Essex first-innings. Gilbert later made 2 Minor Counties Championship appearances in 1925 for Oxfordshire against Monmouthshire and Berkshire. He died on 4 August 1963. The Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas, hosts an art collection as well as traveling art exhibitions, educational programs and an extensive research library. Fort Sinquefield is the historic site of a wooden stockade fortification in Clarke County, Alabama, near the modern town of Grove Hill. It was built by early Clarke County pioneers as protection during the Creek War and was attacked in 1813 by Creek warriors. A marker was erected at the site by Clarke County school children in 1931 and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 31, 1974.
