Kimberly Williams (triple Jumper)
Kimberly Williams (born 3 November 1988) is a Jamaican triple jumper. She is a multiple time Jamaican National Champion. She was successful as a youth athlete, winning the 2003 CARIFTA Games (under 17 division) as a 14 year old. She was runner up at the 2007 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships. Later, she jumped for Florida State University and was a four time NCAA Champion. By the time she graduated in 2012, she was "the most decorated women's track and field athlete in Florida State history." Since then she is the reigning Commonwealth Games champion. She was a finalist in the 2016 Olympics, ranking as high as 4th after two rounds of jumping, ultimately finishing seventh. She has qualified to represent Jamaica at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Kimberly Williams is an American politician. She is a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives representing district 19 since 2012. Early life and career Williams graduated from Wilmington High School in Delaware, which later closed. In 2009, she was elected to the Red Clay School Board and served for three years, including one year as vice president. Political career In 2012, Williams ran to fill the open seat in District 19 created by the retirement of Speaker of the Delaware House of Representatives Robert Gilligan. She ran on a campaign supporting unions, small businesses, and education. She beat Bill Dunn in the Democratic primary and went on to win the general election against her Republican opponent. Biography Kim Williams was born on September 23, 1923, as Elizabeth Ardea Kandiko, the fourth of seven children of Hungarian immigrants. Kimberly Williams (born October 14, 1974) is a former professional basketball player who played two seasons for the Utah Starzz of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Early life and college career Born and raised in South Side, Chicago, Williams graduated from Marshall High School in 1993 and was Illinois "Ms. Basketball" as a senior. She helped guide the Westark Community College (now University of Arkansas-Fort Smith) to back-to-back appearances in the NJCAA Women's Basketball Championship. The team were national runner-us in 1994 and won the national championship in 1995, going 67–2 cumulatively in Williams' two seasons. In 2013, two prosecutors and a prosecutor's wife were murdered in Kaufman County, Texas. The case gained national attention in the United States due to speculation that the Aryan Brotherhood prison gang was responsible, but this was later found to be untrue. Eric Lyle Williams (born April 7, 1967), a former lawyer and justice of the peace whose theft case was prosecuted by two of the victims, was tried, found guilty, and sentenced to death for the three murders.
